Y&R Recaps Week of December 11, 2006

An ice storm was brewing outside....

A very pregnant Phyllis flipped when she realized Jack took her N.V.P. file on the company's new Web site. She tracked him down and told him about the C-section. Then she went back to her office to finish up work (though she did make Nick go home to get her favorite pillow).

Jack was still licking his wounds about Gloria keeping the name Mrs. John Abbott. Sharon tried to boost his spirits. After Jack left, Sharon talked with Brad. Enter Nick, who seemed annoyed to find them together. Nick shared what's going on with Phyllis. "You're a really good dad, Nick," Sharon said movingly. Sharon left and gave Phyllis a present — a cream for incisions.

Lauren's mother, Joanna, showed up on her doorstep — and immediately clashed with Fen's other grandma, Gloria (that's "Mrs. John Abbott" to you). "The baby looks just like Michael," Gloria goaded her. When the baby started crying, Joanna was able to quiet him down with her voice. But he started crying again when Gloria and Joanna got into it again.

Katherine kept hearing a baby crying, and then finally found her missing ring. Enter Esther, who was still pushing Katherine to meet with psychic Sylvia Browne. Katherine caved and called Sylvia. Later, Katherine tried to explain her dreams to Jill, and her need to get help in getting to the bottom of them. "Oh, Mother," sighed nonbeliever Jill.

Colleen forgot she had class and ran out of Indigo. The band canceled on Neil and Dru (again!). As the storm got worse, a car skidded and crashed into the building next door. Neil suggested that Victoria and J.T. cancel the art benefit. Dru called Lily at work and told her to stay put, but she said Daniel was coming to pick her up. "There are blackouts everywhere," Neil warned. At school, Colleen got stuck on campus with Korbel. At Newman, Brad gave Sharon a lift home. Back at Indigo, Colleen couldn't reach Brad, J.T. couldn't reach Colleen — and then the lights went out.

End of episode, Sylvia Browne arrived at Katherine's; Brad and Sharon got stuck at his place; Daniel's car crashed; and Phyllis got trapped in the Newman elevator with Jack and went into labor!

"One year ago John married me for the second time," Gloria noted as she prepared for her day in court with Jack and Ashley. She had someone special in her corner — a ghostly John (the returning Jerry Douglas). John continued to haunt and rag on Jack as the trial got underway, with Judge Hatchett presiding. As Michael called his first witness, John objected (unfortunately no one heard him but Jack). Kevin took the stand and praised Gloria and her marriage to John. Next, Michael called himself to the stand! (Opposing counsel objected, but was overruled.) Then he called Gloria. "John Abbott made me feel good about myself for the first time in my life," Gloria professed. "Having his name is the only thing I have left of him." After Gloria stepped down, Ashley took the stand and slammed Gloria. Jack did the same. John tried to cross-examine (but again, no one heard him).

Brad and Sharon chatted in the breakroom. "Did Jack say anything about my mother?" Brad asked. "Lots," said Sharon, though she assured Brad that she didn't tell Jack anything.

Colleen picked out clothes with Lily as they discussed the J.T./Adrian situation. Enter Amber. "Adrian kept me out way past my bedtime last night," Amber remarked, irking Colleen. Amber made a comment about Colleen's weight. Adrian was at Indigo making Victoria laugh. Victor arrived so Victoria introduced her dad to the popular professor. Later, Victor discussed the Carmen Mesta case with Neil and Dru. Back at Newman, Sharon and Brad also rehashed the case. Brad feared the truth about him would come out if Michael put his past under a microscope. Victor wondered if Brad or Jack killed Carmen. Sharon was also disturbed that Jack and Brad were also part of the investigation.

Nick and Phyllis went to the doctor's. Inducing labor would be the worst thing they could do, he warned, because the baby is in a breech position. The doctor suggested having a C-section.

End of episode, Victor asked J.T. for info on Brad, the judge ruled in Mrs. John Abbott's favor, and Phyllis agreed to have the C-section.

Will arrived at Newman to conduct an evidence search. The gang was all there — Dru, Brad, Victoria, Jack, even Victor. Dru ran and told Neil (who told Dru that Paul quit Devon's case). Victor gave his consent for Will to proceed with the investigation. Dru and Neil tried to call Devon to warn him. Too late — Will saw him first. Will made everyone go to Victor's office while the search was being conducted. "Any one of us could be the killer, Bradsky," Jack cracked. Dru and Neil asked Paul why he quit. In the break room, Victor revealed to Michael that Jack owns Jabot. They strategized what their next move should be. Elsewhere, Jack told Brad he used the duct tape to fix a chair. Victor applauded Devon for how he's handled himself, and then asked Jack to join him for a bite to eat. Vic picked his brain about who he thinks killed Carmen. Jack thought maybe Dru or Neil, by accident. "How about Nikki or Phyllis?" Victor joked.

Colleen sulked some more and then apologized to J.T. Lily called and let him know what was happening at Newman. When she and J.T. started discussing the case, they started bickering again. Brrrring — it's Prof. Korbel. Colleen wanted to run over, but Korbel said he didn't think they should be meeting at night anymore. Amber checked out the merchandise (a.k.a. Korbel!) at Fenmore's. Korbel asked her out to the art benefit. "Yes!" she beamed. Korbel also called Victoria about a sculpture being pulled for the antiquities display, and asked that she loan him something from the Newman collection. Colleen learned from Lily that Korbel is bringing Amber to the benefit, so she ran out on J.T. to go speak to Brad and Victoria. She showed them an out-of-print book on the Grugeon collection that Korbel gave her. Brad wondered why he gave her that specific book. Victoria went to Crimson Lights, ran into J.T. and spilled the beans about the book Korbel gave Colleen. Back at the school, Amber alert: Colleen spied Korbel and the former B&B chick.

End of episode, Colleen interrupted Korbel and Amber so she could give him the final guest list for the benefit; an earring turned up in the Carmen case; and Brad was frantic Baldwin would find out about his past.

Colleen and J.T. rehashed their problems, and then she went to Crimson Lights to fill in Lily (and flash back to her kiss with Korbel). Colleen finally confessed that she smooched the sexy professor. "It was amazing," she gushed. "Does this mean I don't love J.T.? I just don't want to lose him." They agreed to keep the kiss a secret. "But you need to cool it," advised Lily. Colleen went to class and proceeded to daydream while Korbel lectured. After class, the professor gave her a book on the Grugeons. Colleen glowed with appreciation.

Michael and Neil got the lab results on the duct tape. Devon's prints were found, but there were no prints found on the trash bags, though. Michael deduced that the roll of the tape was used in the murder. Neil and Michael speculated that Carmen could have been murdered at Newman. "That means we have more suspects," Michael noted. At Crimson Lights, Det. Sullivan asked Kevin and Jana about the duct tape. Paul hit on Ms. Sullivan, fishing for information. Back at Baldwin's office, Will arrived and said the new evidence meant nothing, and that anything substantial still pointed to Devon.

Victoria told Rebecca they will celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas. Brad ran into Sharon and Jack at the GCAC. When Jack excused himself, Brad made a crack about Jack being her therapist more than her love. Then he introduced Sharon to Rebecca. "I'm so glad you're all right," Rebecca smiled. Jack was surprised to learn Brad has a mother. "Everyone has a mother," Brad remarked. Jack proceeded to give Rebecca the third degree, but Rebecca knew how to handle him. Later, Rebecca wondered how someone as "lovely" as Sharon ended up with Jack. At their table, Jack pressed Sharon for info, but she covered for Brad.

End of episode, Lily told Neil that Paul quit Devon's case; Michael bickered with Paul; Victoria asked Brad if Carmen was killed at Newman Enterprises; and the CSI team arrived to determine if Newman was the scene of the crime.

Hooray! Katherine and Jill really are mother and daughter. They both were ecstatic, despite their rocky past (to say the least). Then they went to Indigo to celebrate, where the bartender told Jill she was beautiful.

Victoria asked Nick about Phyllis' rash. Victoria took Nick to Indigo to take his mind off Phyllis and work. Amber was there and wanted to sing again. Dru shared the good news with Nick and Victoria: Devon got his hearing back. When Nick stepped away to take a call, J.T. joined old flame Victoria. He shared with Vic that he and Colleen were fighting. Enter Colleen, who was looking for Lily but instead got J.T. and Victoria. Colleen eavesdropped on their conversation, and then left to do "research" with Prof. Korbel. When Nick returned to the table, he gave Victoria his two cents on J.T. Amber spotted J.T. across the room and went over and introduced herself — and flirted. Then she joined Katherine and Jill for a drink.

"What J.T. and I have is real," insisted Colleen, batting her eyelashes (well, not really) at Korbel. Korbel — who calls J.T. "T.J." — bought her coffee to cheer her up. Then they kissed!

After watching Dru in action at Indigo, Neil took her home and made love to her. Neil admitted that he had been attracted to Carmen. Dru apologized for the Malcolm incident again, but he didn't want to hear it — he understood why she did it and he let it go, finally. "I forgive you and I want to be with you and I love you," he declared. Awww. They sealed the deal by putting her wedding ring back on.

End of episode, Korbel couldn't get Colleen out of his mind, so he called Amber and asked her out.
