Nick asked if Phyllis was still mad at him for keeping the secret about Sharon's kidnapping and Brad's past. Phyllis said she had been hurt by the news, but she wasn't mad at him. The two kissed. Nick called Michael and invited the Baldwins over to his and Phyllis' place for New Year's Eve, and Michael accepted. Soon after, Lauren called to cancel. Lauren put Fen down for a nap and waited for Michael to come home. Phyllis and Nick arrived and
brought the party to them. Phyllis suggested they go out, but Lauren wanted to order in. Phyllis snapped plenty of photographs. Lauren refused to let anyone touch Fen. Phyllis pointed out to Michael that something was wrong with
Lauren. Michael didn't think so, but Lauren looked quite neurotic.
Korbel asked Colleen why Victoria resigned from the art benefit and refused to
hand over any pieces from the Newman collection. He wondered if the family had a problem with him. Colleen said no, and promised she would never tell anyone about their night together.
Viewers learned that Paul has been keeping Sheila locked up in a cage — a cage with a nursery set up for Fen and Lauren, whom she had planned to kidnap. Sheila vowed that Paul would pay for this, but Paul strongly doubted that.
Sheila promised to stay away from Lauren and her baby. Paul ignored her and left. Sheila
began pacing and ranting. She claimed that Lauren would never be safe from her. Sheila told herself that her goal was to escape and then impersonate Phyllis (whose face she's already taken, thanks to plastic surgery). It was payback time. "Payback is a bitch," Sheila intoned.
At Katherine's, Korbel ran into Colleen. [AWKWARD.] Amber asked Katherine if she thought there was another Phillip out there. Paul and JT arrived;
Victor greeted them. Pop opera stars Il Divo performed at the party. Colleen saw that Korbel was with Amber. Victor vowed to Nikki that he will find Brad's elusive reliquary, "come hell or high water."
There was lots of kissing when the clock struck twelve for everyone...except a wistful-looking Katherine. Katherine was haunted by the memory of what she did years ago that involved a baby. Suddenly, she remembered it all.

As he looked at baby clothes at Fenmore's, Jack flashed back to Phyllis giving birth in the elevator. Then he went to visit her and the baby. They called a truce and agreed to try to be friends (aw...). They even shook on it. Afterward, Jack met Sharon at Crimson Lights. When Jack asked her if something is up, she changed the subject to him and the Carmen murder investigation.
At Crimson Lights, Colleen flashed back to making love to Korbel. "I want him to want me," Colleen cried to Lily. Meanwhile, back at the college, Amber continued to come on to Korbel. Then the bell rang — time for class. Amber and Colleen each fawned over the professor as he gave his lecture. Colleen texted Lily and called Amber a skank! After class, Korbel dissed Colleen and let Amber walk him to her car.
Brad summoned Paul, J.T., Sharon and Nick to the house and informed them that he told Victor the truth about his past. They were not pleased. "I didn't tell Victor that I killed the kidnappers," he added.
Victor announced to a stunned Nikki and Michael that he's called off the investigation into Brad's past. He said it was because Brad is his son-in-law, thereby avoiding telling them the real story about Brad's tragic past as George Kaplan. Nick went back to the ranch and apologized to a perturbed Victor for not telling him the truth about Brad. When Nick left, Victor told Nikki the whole story (he didn't want to say too much in front of Michael). "It's tragic," Nikki weighed in. Nick went to the tack room and told Phyllis the whole story about Brad and Sharon's kidnapping (including the part about Brad killing the men). Phyllis was furious.
Michael got into it with Paul at Crimson Lights. When Paul left, Michael followed him. Paul lost him at a red light.
EOE, Amber intercepted a text from Colleen to Lily re: A.K. (Adrian Korbel); Victor and Nikki suspected Brad was still hiding something; Sharon and Jack kissed at Crimson Lights; and Paul arrived at his destination — Sheila's cage! Only Sheila now looks a lot like...Phyllis.

Rebecca, Brad and Victoria told Victor the truth about Brad's past. Victor was stunned (and moved). Victor wondered what the reliquary holds; so did everyone else. Brad left out the part about killing the Nazi who kidnapped Sharon, though.
Colleen told Lily she changed her mind about moving out of the loft (and that she dropped working with Korbel). She later got a text from the persistent professor ("Bring your slides to class") and didn't know how to respond. She figured it out and finally text something back to him, but she got no response.
Gloria threw in Joanna's face that "Extreme Catwalk" wants her to be a judge. "The queen of leopard prints may change her spots, but alas, she does not change what lies beneath," Joanna snipped.
Ashley flipped out on Jack when he asked her to take Sharon shopping when Ji Min dropped by. Ashley caved, though, and whisked Sharon away when she arrived. When they got back and Sharon left, Ashley sighed, "I can't do this anymore."
Michael suggested casting doubt on Devon's case by implicating Dru, but Devon balked at the idea. "Bardwell will slice you up and serve you for dinner," Michael warned. So there aren't any surprises, Devon admitted he was once busted for aggravated assault. (Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Will was discussing the case with his new girlfriend, Jill.) This didn't bode well for his case, since Devon was defending his mother when he assaulted the man, and Bardwell could establish a pattern. Michael said their best bet was to point the finger at Brad.
EOE, Will called Michael with the lab results on Carmen's earring. There was a match to...Jack Abbott!
