Y&R Recaps Week of March 5, 2007

Friday, March 9, 2007
Amber turned Daniel on to her porn site. While Lily wasn't home (she was with Colleen, talking about the situation with Korbel), Daniel logged on and watched Amber in action. Before things got too out of hand, Devon came home. Devon recapped what happened at the competency trial between Ines and Dru. When he went to take a shower, Daniel logged back on and watched Amber the porn star. He signed off when Lily came home, but couldn't wait till she left so he could watch Moore of Amber.

While Daniel was watching Amber on his screen, Cane was enjoying her in the flesh. The lovebirds were interrupted when he suddenly remembered about his DNA test. Cane ran out as Amber told him not to worry. When they met up later at Crimson Lights, Cane was cautiously excited about finally having proof about his birth mother.

Jack mapped out his resort plans for an excited Sharon. "Nick and Phyllis are planning to run the day-by-day projects," Jack added. Elsewhere, Brad and Victoria prepared for the Newman board meeting, as they tried to gather votes to veto Jack's plan. Phyllis faced off with Victoria over the project; Nick and Brad also butted heads. Later, while having dinner, Phyllis and Nick ran into Brad and Victoria. To make matters worse, Jack was also there with Sharon. Jack told Sharon he made a reservation for them at a hotel in New York — the same one Sharon spent the night with Brad! Of course, Jack didn't know it. Meanwhile, Brad and Victoria sent a bottle of champagne over to Nick and Phyllis' table, subtly crowing about Brad's success in getting some board members to vote his way. Rocky from the country-western bar Nick and Phyllis got married in, who's now a waiter in Genoa City, delivered it to their table.

Colleen went to see the dean and insisted there was nothing improper going on between her and Korbel. Ms. Carlton wanted to know who accused them of having an affair, but the dean wouldn't divulge that confidential information. Colleen went to Crimson Lights and told Adrian to rethink turning in his resignation. "I saved both of our careers," she assured. "They have no proof." Korbel was angry that she'd taken such a risk, but now he was backed into a corner. He went to the dean and also denied the affair. He reported back to Colleen that he confirmed her story. "Don't thank me, " he said. "I didn't have a choice."

End of episode, Daniel called Amber to comment on her, um, performance; Korbel snuck up on Colleen and kissed her passionately; and Phyllis overheard Sharon and Brad talking about their fling in N.Y.!

Colleen and Korbel wondered who exposed their affair to the dean. "This could be the end of my teaching career," cried Korbel, who went to Crimson Lights and accused J.T. of turning him and Colleen in. J.T. wouldn't cop to it. Meanwhile, Colleen went to Brad and asked if HE blabbed about their relationship. He was cagey, but offered to go see the dean with her. Next, Colleen confronted J.T., who again denied being the culprit. Brad also confronted J.T., who, once again, denied squealing. Brad asked J.T. to find out who spoke to the dean.

Cane told Amber he agreed to take the DNA test for Jill, and brought up the annulment again. Amber ran to Daniel and cried about Cane looking to get unhitched. Daniel suggested she go back home to L.A. No dice. Instead, Amber had Daniel call Cane, say he was a Los Angeles club owner in need of a singer and lead Cane to believe he was offering Amber a gig. Amber pretended to be thrilled, and said she was leaving. Cane apologized to Amber for being an idiot, not realizing he'd just been played. He admitted he thinks he's falling in love with his wife after all, and he doesn't want to see her go. "Come here," he smiled, "give your husband a kiss." Aw!

Ines entered the courtroom just as Dru took the stand. "I believed I was being stalked," the wobbly Mrs. Winters explained to the judge. Then she pointed to Ines, arguing that anyone could have mistaken her for Carmen and that she (meaning Dru) is not crazy. After Michael rested, the state's lawyer called one more witness to the stand — Ines! Michael objected, but the judge allowed it. Ines testified that Dru flipped out on her at the hospital. Michael crossed-examined and tried to discredit Ms. Vargas. Ultimately, Dru was set free.

Phyllis continued to bicker with Nikki and Victoria about Jack's plan for an N.V.P resident city as they shopped at Fenmore's for Phyllis' wedding. Phyllis clashed again with Lauren and rubbed it in that Nikki and Victoria were part of her wedding party. Lauren was alternately crushed and hopping mad at her former friend's rude behavior.

End of episode, Korbel told Colleen he's resigning; Ines informed David in private that she's leaving town before someone catches them together again; Dru apologized to David for blaming him for harassing her; Lauren filled Michael in on Phyllis' unpleasant visit; Nikki warned Phyllis to watch her step; and Amber turned Daniel on to a porn Web site as a "thank you" for helping her hoodwink Cane.

Jill kicked herself for asking Cane to take the DNA test, since he took offense. Amber persuaded Cane to talk to his mother again, so he went to the Chancellor estate. Jill had left, so Cane talked to Katherine instead. Katherine took the blame for pressuring Jill into asking him for the DNA test. "Everything that ever happened to you is my fault," Katherine confessed. "If you want to get angry, you blame me! Hate me! Hate me!" Katherine then challenged him to take the DNA test, to find out the truth once and for all. At Crimson Lights, Amber tried to do more damage control, telling Jill that Cane is just "a little overwhelmed." Jill and Amber went back to the house, where Jill threw herself into Cane's arms. Cane agreed to take the DNA test.

Phyllis got behind Jack's idea of building a super-complex (including a spa, stores and a luxury residential community) on the N.V.P. land, but Nikki was still not a fan of the idea, because Jack was moving forward without ever asking for her input. Victoria was also a non-believer, but for a different reason: the area, Clear Springs, was home to some once-glorious Victorian architecture that Vikki insisted should be "restored, not torn down." Phyllis informed Jack that Nick would be working with them on the project. Needless to say, that didn't go over well. Victoria called a board meeting to put Clear Springs to a vote. Victor was furious that Nikki was bucking him.

Neil asked David to testify at Dru's competency hearing on her behalf. David agreed. As Devon testified on the stand, Mr. Chow entered the courtroom. When Devon was done, Michael called David to the stand.

Korbel came by the Abbott mansion to see Colleen. Jack tried to be civil, but Brad and Traci gave him the cold shoulder. Once Korbel got the hint and left, Colleen took Jack up on his offer to move into the Abbott place. Traci left, but not before sharing a tearful goodbye with Colleen. Traci shared with Colleen that she, too, had an affair with one of her professors. "I got pregnant," Traci revealed, adding that when she went to tell him, she found him in bed with another girl. "Adrian would never do something like that," Colleen claimed. "You never know," warned Traci, who admitted she tried to kill herself over what happened.

End of episode, Korbel informed Colleen that the dean wants to see them because someone ratted them out (Traci? Brad? J.T.?); David stated for the record that Ines and Carmen look exactly alike; and just as Michael called his next witness — Drucilla! — Ines entered the courtroom.

Victor asked Jack for an explanation for his decision to give away N.V.P. land to the state. Jack shared his plan to create a super spa development as a service to the community. Victor was impressed and offered Jack his support. Nikki and Phyllis were mortified by Jack's stunt, and Phyllis let Jack know it...until he convinced her, too, that his plan was a good one. Nikki wasn't buying it, though. "Why don't we just tell the world that Jack owns Jabot and be rid of him?" she railed to Victor. She was also not too pleased when Phyllis changed her tune about Jack's plan.

Amber pointed out to Cane that his mother, Jill, and grandmother, Katherine, are RICH. Amber later met with Daniel and informed him that Cane is a Chancellor. They played a game on Cane, leading him to believe one of Daniel's friends was hot for Amber, but Cane countered by bringing Amber back to his place and making love to his new bride. Meanwhile, at the Chancellor estate, Katherine suggested that Jill ask Cane for a DNA test. "We need to be sure," Kay insisted. "It's insulting," Jill protested. "Cane is my child. I don't need more proof."

Korbel ran into J.T. at Fenmore's. Lauren was chilly to J.T. after what he did to Kevin. At Crimson Lights, Kevin told Michael they should have J.T.'s investigator's license taken away. Michael ran into Phyllis at Newman, but she still wouldn't forgive him for not telling her about Sheila.

Colleen and Lily talked about the Korbel/J.T. mess. Ding, dong, it's Korbel at the door. Lily and Daniel excused themselves. Colleen and her professor discussed the whole Jana ordeal and got, um, reacquainted...until J.T. showed up, bearing gifts as well (slippers). J.T. admitted he lost it with Kevin. Afterward, the PI went to CL to apologize to Kevin. "You're going to go down hard," Kevin warned.

End of episode, Cane blew up when Jill relented and asked for a DNA test; Nikki warned Jack that the land was staying with N.V.P.; Amber texted a naked picture of herself to Daniel; and Colleen asked Kevin to forgive J.T. No dice!

Sharon visited Drucilla at the psych ward. They briefly touched on Jana's crimes and then discussed Dru's upcoming hearing. Meanwhile, Neil and Devon confronted David and the Carmen look-alike. David introduced her as Carmen's cousin, Ms. Vargas, but claimed he had just met her himself. Ms. Vargas apologized if she caused any trouble. Neil asked her to come to the hospital with him so they can prove his wife isn't crazy. She agreed, and came face-to-face with a stunned Dru. "Where'd you find her?" a dumbfounded Dru asked Neil. "Sorry about your loss," Dru offered Ines. "If I can help you, I will," Ines promised. Unfortunately, Dru flipped out and accused Carmen's cousin of playing games with her and her family. After Dru calmed down, she apologized to Inez for blowing up on her...but she quickly snapped again, accusing Ines of being a stalker.

Nikki, Victor and Jack mapped out a campaign strategy. Jack noted that he hired David Chow as his campaign manager (little does Jack know that Victor is working with David). Jack asked Phyllis to cover some N.V.P. meetings now that he is running for office; Nick was jealous. Phyllis asked Victoria to be her bridesmaid. "I would love that," Victoria agreed. Phyllis then asked Nikki to be her matron of honor. She accepted. (Nick to Victoria: "What's Dad going to do? Play the organ?") Jack, meanwhile, met with David and Victor. "You need to admit any mistakes you made in the past," David warned. "Make it seemed you've grown." "Got it," Jack responded.

Victoria told Nick that she found Brad and Sharon alone in a car again. "What were the lovebirds up to this time?" Nick asked. "Oh, just talking," Victoria sniped. Nick believed Brad is in lust with Sharon.

Jack held a press conference to announce his run for office. While at the podium, candidate Abbott stunned Nikki and Phyllis when he announced his plans to gave away a tract of land — the same land he'd originally bought for a Wisconsin N.V.P. resort.
