Y&R Recaps Week of April 2, 2007

Friday, April 6, 2007
Tension was high at the lodge restaurant as locals waited to hear whether rescuers had airlifted Sharon or Drucilla and what her condition was. When Maggie arrived, she told them it was Sharon and that she was found dead on the scene. She wouldn't give "false hope," but said paramedics were working on reviving her. Nick, Phyllis and Jack set out for the hospital while the Winters clan and Victor stayed back for word on Dru. Daniel worried Phyllis wouldn't forgive herself if Sharon died, while Neil encouraged his kids to keep the faith about Dru. "She is a fighter, right? She's still alive," he insisted. Lily and Daniel filled Maggie in on the tension on the shoot (while guilt ridden Phyllis was catching Nick and Brad up at the hospital). Lily said it looked like Phyllis started the fight, but admitted she couldn't hear what was being said. Victor offered his support to Devon, who wondered why things always turned wrong for his family. Then Victor and Neil talked and Neil tried to make sense of it all. He finally broke down, while Daniel and Lily argued about how it was his mother's fault and his mother was okay, unlike hers. Then she started crying and he comforted her.

Brad was the first one to the hospital, but the nurse wouldn't give him any info because he wasn't family. When Nick, Jack and Phyllis arrived, she lied and said she was Sharon's sister. While the nurse got a doctor, they filled Brad in on the accident. Then the doc arrived and explained Sharon was suffering from severe hypothermia and shock, but showing "minimal response to pain." He soon returned to say she'd regained consciousness and was breathing on her own. Jack was flabbergasted when Brad beat him to saying, "I want to see her." The doc allowed one visitor at a time, so Phyllis, "as her sister," sent Jack in first. He comforted her and then she asked for Nick. Nick held her hand and told her there was no news of Dru. She was glad to hear Noah was being taken care of, but wasn't ready to see him. Instead, she asked Nick to call to check on him. Lauren reported that he was eating pizza and fine.

When Maggie showed up to question Phyllis, Brad was thrilled to listen in, but her questions led Nick to ask why Phyllis was being interrogated. Phyllis had no qualms and simply said there was a disagreement and that she was calling Jack "to work it out...Sharon grabbed for the phone and it got physical." Sharon wasn't up to an police interview, but Jack told Brad she was improving. He recalled how terrified he'd been until they found Sharon and a quiet Brad could clearly relate. When Brad finally got to Sharon, he teased that she was an "ice princess" and offered to "fill in" for Jack. She admitted she panicked when she lost her balance and then revealed that Phyllis was actually calling Jack to tell Jack about their fling. Then she dozed off and Victor and Jack showed up soon after she woke. Victor told her the search for Dru had been reclassified from rescue to recovery. Brad let Jack comfort when she cried over Dru.

Phyllis and Nick, meanwhile, went to pick up the kids. Nick sat down and filled Noah in on the accident. At first the kid looked panicked, but Nick calmed him down. He still begged to see her, so Nick let him call her. Then, while Lauren and Nick went to the kitchen for pizza, Michael tried to take care of Phyllis. "After everything you've been through, here must be something you need," he urged. At first, she put him off, but then she let him comfort her.

When Maggie returned to the lodge, she had Dru's jacket with her. Since it was found past the falls, she told the Winters clan, "The rescue operation has been reclassified as a recovery operation." Neil hugged his wife's jacket and cried. When Phyllis got the news, she lost it, sure it was her fault. Michael wouldn't let her take the blame. He was just glad Phyllis was here with them. "I don't know what I would've done if you'd gone over that ledge," he said, and they embraced.

Brad purchased Clear Springs land to prevent Jack from building his N.V.P. complex there. Victoria approved, but wondered why he didn't vote for her mother instead of Neil for the board of directors in the first place (Nikki would have voted against the project, thwarting Jack). Cut to the cliff accident, with both Sharon and Drucilla going over the edge. Sharon hung on but Dru wasn't so lucky. Neil heard the whole thing via Lily's cell phone. Phyllis desperately tried to pull Sharon to safety, but then Sharon let go and fell, too!

Daniel grabbed the cell phone and broke the news to Jack that Dru and Sharon fell off the cliff. Phyllis called Nick (who was at Crimson Lights with Noah and Summer) and told him the horrifying news. He raced off to the cliff, leaving the kids with Lauren. Lauren took them back to her place. Brad called Victor and explained what was going on. Just as Det. Sullivan was questioning Lily, Daniel and Phyllis about what went down (sorry!), Jack and Neil arrived. Lily relayed what happened, and it didn't look good for Phyllis. "That's why this happened? Because of Phyllis?" Neil asked, before going over to Phyllis and yelling, "What did you do?!"

Phyllis tried to explain to Jack that she tried to save Sharon. "But she let go," Phyllis cried. She also tried to explain to Nick that she did everything in her power to help Sharon, and if she could change what happened... "I promised her I would hang on," she wept. Neil shared a story with Lily about Dru's dancing days, when she was injured but went on with the show anyway and was flawless. Det. Sullivan broke it to everyone that she thought Dru and Sharon both went off the falls after being carried downstream by the river. Back at Newman, Victoria noticed that Brad was very concerned about Sharon. Brad wanted to go help, "but you have no place being there," Victoria told him.

End of episode: A woman was retrieved from the river, but it was unclear whether it was Sharon or Dru, or if she was alive. Cliff-hanger!

Brad caught Sharon writing her wedding vows to Jack and asked her not to marry him. "Jack doesn't deserve you and he never will," Brad declared, just as Phyllis walked in (oops!). Phyllis chastised them both, defending Jack. Enter Jack, who asked Phyllis to play nice (he was referring to the N.V.P. photo shoot later in the day, however). Later, Phyllis, Sharon and Dru prepared for the photo shoot. Phyllis and Sharon fought about everything, from hair to wardrobe. "I work for Jack," Sharon reminded her nemesis. Dru suggested to Sharon that they blackmail Phyllis right back (but with what?). As the shoot got underway on a cliff overlooking a river, Phyllis called for a new theme, wheeling in a room service cart. "Away from the family...away from the husband...," Phyllis pitched, twisting the knife in Sharon's back. Dru overruled her and saved Sharon from having to smile pretty with the cart.

Daniel talked his way out of the porn pop-ups by saying he got spammed. When Daniel told Jack about failing, Jack suggested he cut back his hours at Newman, and to go easy on himself. Then Daniel broke the news to Phyllis. She was concerned, but Daniel insisted he didn't need any help getting his act together.

Kevin orchestrated a dinner meeting between himself, Jill and Ji Min, so Jill could see Gloria there with Will. Kevin called and canceled at the last minute, claiming a pipe burst at the coffeehouse. Ji Min sided with Jill, believing Katherine should be punished for kidnapping Cane years ago. At the other table, St. Gloria told Will that Jill was nuts for letting him go (William was supposed to have dinner with Jill that evening, but she refused after he chose not to prosecute her mother). Afterward, Gloria went to Crimson Lights to research libido-enhancers (!) to ensure that an already flirty Jill and Ji Min seal the deal.

Victoria informed Victor that Nikki was in Madison, WI on campaign business. Alone, Victor flashed back to when Jack tricked him into signing the loan papers that enabled Jack to secretly repurchase Jabot. Enter Jack, who asked Victor to be his best man. Victor agreed.

Victoria got into it again with Brad, and called J.T. to remind him that he will have access to anything needs while he's investigating her husband.

End of episode, Brad extended an olive branch to Victoria by bringing her olives. At the photo shoot, Phyllis overheard Sharon and Dru discussing Phyllis' blackmail. Phyllis went to Sharon and complained about Dru being privy to their "personal business," and she threatened to call Nick right then and tell all about Sharon and Brad. Dru saw trouble looming and joined in, trying to wrest the cell phone from Phyllis. The threesome tussled until...Dru and Sharon fell off the cliff!

Daniel was running late because he got caught up looking at Internet porn. When he ran out to check his midterm grades which were posted that morning (he's failing!), he left an X-rated Web site behind his screen saver. Lily came home and learned she got straight A's (but she didn't see the porn site...yet). Devon also got straight A's. Daniel broke it to Lily that he was flunking. She consoled him.

Brad informed Colleen that not only was he no longer paying for her college tuition, he was taking away her car. Brad returned to Newman and got more support from Sharon, while Colleen went and sulked to Korbel. Then she went to work at the GCAC (since now she truly has to support herself). Colleen filled Lily in on what happened with Sharon telling Brad about her and Korbel. Enter Jack, who offered Colleen a loan so she could finish the semester. She was reluctant at first, but accepted Uncle Jack's money on the condition that she pay him back with interest.

Jill was bombarded with phone calls from the press after the truth about Cane came out on "EXTREME CATWALK." Will Bardwell called Cane to ask about Katherine's role in the kidnapping. Meanwhile, Katherine met with Michael to find out how much trouble she could be in. "I'm going to prison," she sighed. "Do you remember doing it?" Michael asked. "No. My brain was floating in alcohol," Katherine noted. Michael vowed to represent her if the D.A. chose to press charges. Will arrived and pointed out Katherine has two victims to answer to — Jill and Cane. Katherine was reluctant to defend herself at first, but Michael's spirit inspired her and she even joked that if she goes to trial, she should arrive in a wheelchair to get the juror's sympathy vote. Jill met Will for lunch and pleaded Cane's immigration case. "If anybody should be thrown out of the country, it should be Katherine," she hissed. Later, Katherine asked her daughter to not recommend that the D.A. press charges. Still angry, Jill refused. At Crimson Lights, Michael asked Cane to talk to Will on Katherine's behalf. "I don't believe it's right to lock up Katherine," weighed in Amber. Cane called Jill and told her he was going to put in a good word for Katherine. As Cane and Will were meeting, Jill joined them. She told her son she admired his actions, but she still couldn't forgive her mother.

Sharon and Dru prepared for a N.V.P. photo shoot. Jack broke the news to a rattled Sharon that he wouldn't be there to supervise — so Phyllis would be going in his place!

End of episode, Cane forgave Katherine and the two embraced; Will let Jill know that he's not pressing charges against Mrs. Chancellor; Brad screamed at Jack for bailing Colleen out by paying her tuition; and Lily sat down to Daniel's laptop and saw the X-rated Web site and accompanying popups.

Phyllis informed Sharon that she's going to Monaco, not Sharon, blackmailing her again with the scoop on her affair with Brad. As they planned their wedding rehearsal dinner, Nick realized he and Phyllis are going to have two wedding anniversaries. They almost had sex in the break room, but then Dru interrupted. Phyllis left and Sharon walked in. Nick asked if Noah could spend the night with him after the rehearsal dinner. She said yes. Meanwhile, Nikki assured Phyllis that she's not backing out of the wedding despite what's going on with Clear Springs, and Nick asked Victor to be his best man. Victor accepted.

Nikki ran every little N.V.P. decision by Victor (a catty way of showing she's "always overruled"), and then she invited him and Jack to her press conference. Victoria asked Nikki if she needed help writing her speech, while David, Jack and Victor strategized over how to beat Nikki if she indeed stepped into the state Senate race.

Colleen saw Sharon at Newman and flashed back to Sharon catching her and Korbel kissing. They were there to help Victoria with the Clear Springs preservation project. "Two more people involved in the family feud. Great," Brad barked. J.T. showed up on security business for Newman, and got into it again with Korbel and Colleen. Sharon blabbed to Brad that she caught Colleen and Korbel liplocked. Brad ran to Jack and berated him for not keeping a closer eye on Colleen. Jack's antenna went up when Brad revealed that Sharon told him what happened. Jack asked Sharon why she didn't tell him before she spoke to Brad. Sharon left his office only to run into Phyllis and get into it again with her. "Back off, Phyllis," Sharon warned. Phyllis didn't flinch.

At the GCAC, J.T. continued stalking Korbel. Back at Newman, Sharon told Colleen that she told Brad everything; Colleen was not happy. She definitely wasn't thrilled when Brad confronted her about canoodling with Korbel.

Brad informed Colleen that he doesn't condone her behavior, so he's cutting her off financially; Victoria asked J.T. to investigate Brad; Sharon and Dru plotted to bring down Phyllis; Jack ordered David to find the dirt on Nikki; and Nikki formally announced her candidacy for the state Senate.
