Y&R Recaps Week of April 9, 2007

Sharon was nervous about delivering a eulogy at Dru's service. Brad gave her a little pep talk, suggesting she picture him in his underwear. After, Sharon sadly remembered Drucilla as she held an object that reminded her of her pal. Jack listened on sympathetically as his fiancée said how much she missed her. He said that what helped him deal with John's death was closing his eyes and fondly remembering his father.

At the coffeehouse, Nicholas told Phyllis to stop beating herself up over Dru's accident. Phyllis confessed that there were times when she wished she never had to see Dru again. Phyllis tried to write something positive about Dru. Nick hoped she'd attend the service.

At Indigo, Olivia kept Neil company as he tried to take care of last-minute details for Dru's service. Soon, Devon, Lily, Colleen and Daniel joined them. Alone, Olivia told Daniel that Neil promised her that after the service, he'd stop drinking.

Katherine and Jill bickered as they got ready for the service. Kay told her not to let their differences interfere with the memorial.

Kay arrived at Indigo and warned Neil not to fall back into alcoholism. Nikki and Victor followed, giving Neil their sympathies. Kay told Nikki how concerned she is for Neil.... Lily worried that she didn't choose good photos of her mom.... Jack and Sharon arrived at Indigo; Sharon looked on as Olivia shared a friendly embrace with Brad.... Neil actually smiled as he looked over the photo wall Lily put together in Dru's honor. Devon and Daniel worried about what will happen when Lily gets over the shock of losing her mom and the reality sets in.... Nikki and Victor were glad to see Sharon up and about.

At the memorial, Olivia spoke first, noting that Dru changed her family's life for the better. "I was the studious, conservative sister and she was the rebellious one," she recalled. "She had a huge heart ... and when my life needed saving, she selflessly donated her bone marrow." Sharon went next, calling Dru, "fierce" and "loyal." Devon then spoke about his adoptive mother and how grateful he is that Dru took him in. "Before Dru, I'd given up hope," he said, "then she came and completely changed the direction I was going." Lily could barely contain her tears during her eulogy, hoping to one day be, "half as successful and kind as [her] mom." Neil finished, thanking everyone for coming and supporting him and his family. "I want to remind you that Dru ... she loves you," he stated, calling his wife, "Unforgettable." After, he had everyone say a prayer for her. Later, Liv thanked Neil for giving such a beautiful speech.

After the service, Jill was spooked when Kay stated that Dru's memorial is what she'd want her funeral to be like.... Victor and Nikki argued over her wanting the senate seat.... Jack comforted Sharon.

Nick and Phyllis went to the cliff where Dru fell. There, Phyllis gave her own private eulogy to her missing adversary. "You were selfish, manipulative, and a liar," she said. "I think I am, too, but if you were standing here in front of me, there's no way I'd ever admit that.... If we ever meet up again, I hope we become friends. You're loving this right now, aren't you? You finally won. You have the last laugh."

At Indigo, Neil slowly surveyed the place, taking in the flowers and photos of Dru left over from the memorial. He stared at one of the pictures and recalled (through flashbacks) his very first meeting with her, their first wedding, holding her in bed just a few days before. When he came out of his reverie, he leaned over and poured himself a glass of scotch. He paused before drinking it, but then chugged it down in one swallow. He didn't hesitate to pour himself a second drink.

What object was Sharon holding when she remembered happier times with Dru?

Cane was upset upon reading a news story in The Chronicle about his true origins, thanks to an interview provided by a well-meaning Amber. Jill and Kay weren't happy about the feature either so Michael convened a meeting in the Jabot boardroom with everyone to discuss their next move. "The media jackals are salivating, and we have to decide what or who to feed them," Michael declared and also noted that Jabot could take a financial hit if the circumstances surrounding Cane's birth becomes a scandal. At that moment Kevin and Gloria tapped in to the security camera to watch and listen. Michael wanted to know everything "illegal, immoral or fattening" about each Chancellor so he knows what to keep from public consumption and interviewed them one at a time alone. Jill was adamant that her mother take the fall for kidnapping Cane in the first place so that the press will only go after Kay. Cane confessed that he overstayed his visa, but Michael deemed that a "moot point." Amber confessed to losing a baby then stealing her cousin's unwanted newborn to raise as her own. Michael suggested that Amber tell her husband, but she was too scared of losing Cane.

Victor advised Jack to mend fences with Ji Min. "Ask him to rethink the N.V.P. tie-in," Vic urged. To appease him, Jack called Ji Min and arranged a meeting with Ji Min and Jill. With Kevin and Gloria still spying on the boardroom, the three J's gathered. Both Jill and Ji Min dissed Jack's proposal that N.V.P. and Jabot get back in bed together. Jack then asked Jill to leave so he could talk with Ji Min. Once they were alone, Jack ordered Ji Min to re-establish the N.V.P./Jabot tie in. "You work for ..." Jack began to curtly remind his lackey, but Gloria was horrified when she lost her connection to the security camera and didn't hear the rest of Jack's statement. Glo still thought she had enough proof that Jack and Ji Min were in cahoots.

On the day of Dru's memorial service, Lily couldn't find her dad at home and searched for him. At Indigo, a hung over Neil was surprised when Olivia showed up. She explained that Daniel had called her in Africa (where she works with a charitable organization) and she flew back for the memorial service. "It's a prayer service," Neil pointed out, still clinging to the hope that his wife will be found alive. Olivia immediately observed her brother-in-law's physical condition and asked how long he's been drinking again. Neil assured that he was "maintaining." Lily appeared and was glad to see her dad was okay, then greeted Aunt Liv. Both gals insisted on helping Neil, who rebuffed them. Victor entered to offer his support and Neil admitted that having a memorial service for Dru felt like he was giving up on her.

Amber asked Daniel to delete her racy Web profile and they both reaffirmed their commitment to their marriages.... Jill reminded Kay that if the ring she gave Violet Montgomery ever turns up, it will be enough evidence to prosecute La Chancellor.... Lily, Devon and Daniel loaded up their cars with flowers, food and photos for Dru's service.... Upon hearing Gloria's account of Jack and Ji Min's meeting, Michael surmised that, although inadmissible in court, the info might be enough to "ruin our beloved candidate Jack Abbott's career." ... While no one was looking, Neil drank some more.

Jack again questioned Phyllis about Sharon and Brad's relationship. He was confident that she'd tell him if something were going on, but she kept quiet. He ultimately decided that he was just jumping to conclusions. After, they tried to get to work, but she was too distracted to concentrate on business. Jack brought up Sharon once more, accusing Phyllis of hiding something. Phyll suggested Jack talk to Sharon about it. They then discussed how much they love Noah and how lucky he'll be to have four parents.

Sharon and Brad kissed in Jack's living room. She pulled away, saying Jack deserves better. Brad stated that Jack isn't as wonderful as she thinks. "There's advice coming from a married man who's kissing another woman," she snapped. "There is no you and me." "You don't love Jack," Brad replied. Sharon said she's marrying Jack and he can't stop her, and she can't keep being there for Brad. "I can't do this anymore. I don't want to be in love with you," she cried. Brad said that he can't stop thinking about her. Sharon replied that it hurts to look at him knowing they can't be together. "Take care of your wife," she told him. "I've tried to be a good husband," he said. "I love her ... it just doesn't compare to what I feel for you." Ouch. Poor Victoria. Sharon reiterated that they don't have a future together and they embraced. Later, Phyllis called Sharon to warn her about Jack's suspicions. Phyll urged her to back out of marrying Jack if she isn't sure about doing so. Sharon hung up. Jack then came home with food and gifts for her, including a crossword book and a framed picture of himself.

Lauren made a video of Michael and Fenmore with their new camera. Lauren admitted that she wants up-to-date pictures of the baby in case he gets kidnapped again. Michael assured her that Fen would be fine. They then discussed his trip to Clear Springs. Michael warned her not to make a deal with Jack about building a store until she finds out more about his plans.

William brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Jill to the office, with a note attached asking for another chance. Gloria took the card and trashed it. Jill entered and declared that type of flower to be her favorite, but was clueless as to who sent them. After, Jill and Ji Min met for a meeting; Glo slipped libido-enhancers into their drinks.... Glo told Michael that the reason she knows Jack ordered Ji Min to send her to Japan is because she read their e-mail exchange. Michael was furious with her and Kevin for hacking into Ji Min's account. Kevin believed that Jack and Ji Min are working together. Michael's interest was now piqued; he instructed Kev to continue digging into Jack's life. The gang, including Lauren, became enthusiastic at the prospect of spying on Abbott.

Meanwhile, the drugs began to kick in for Jill and Ji Min, so that every word they said related to the business suddenly became laced with innuendo. "Let's put this to bed," he said when they finished their work. "I'm with you," she breathed. As she headed out, she found the card from Will. As Glo and co. spied on them, Gloria was disappointed to see the pair parting ways and Will joining Jill.

Brad drowned his sorrows at a bar and stared at a picture of Sharon on his cell phone. He then called Victoria to see how she was doing.... Jack asked Sharon if something is going on with Brad. She looked him in the eyes and denied it. "That's all I need to hear," he said. "I want to marry you. I can't wait to be your wife," said Sharon.

Lily badgered Daniel about his "new" e-mail address, "Studguy101." He insisted that it was a leftover address from when he was in boarding school and promised to get rid of it. Lily wasn't placated and stormed out. Colleen went with her. On their way out, they ran into Amber, who was stopping by. Amber assured him that he was doing nothing wrong by looking at porn.

At the coffeehouse, Amber approached Lily and offered her sympathies about Dru. Amber mentioned that she knows about Lily and Daniel's fight over his computer activities. Amber stated that she's received a lot of porn spam so Lily shouldn't be concerned about it. She also assured Lily that Daniel loves his wife.

At Indigo, an inebriated Neil told Cane that he thinks that if anyone could survive falling off a cliff, it's Dru. Cane offered Neil a drink of water or coffee, but Neil opted for Scotch. Cane listened as Neil spoke fondly of Dru's cooking abilities. Soon, Brad arrived with a memo Neil needed to sign for work. Brad expressed his sympathies regarding Dru; Neil noted that Brad's part of the reason Dru is missing. Neil was furious that the only reason Brad voted him onto the Newman board was because of Phyllis's blackmail. "I wish I could tell the whole town about you," snarled Neil. He added: "I really value my friendship with Sharon. But I'm not your friend ... I'm not your business associate." Brad noted that Neil is just lashing out at him and that he understands what it's like to lose a loved one. Later, Daniel kept a drunken Neil company. Neil planned to have a memorial service for Dru. Daniel then reminded Lily how much he loves her.

Now at home, Sharon tried to relax as Jack and Noah cared for her. Jack jokingly called her "grandma" because her movements were so stiff. When Jack casually questioned her about her relationship with Brad, she explained that she and Carlton became "friends" after Cassie died. Right after, Brad called to check in on her; Jack managed to keep his cool. Sharon worried about how Noah was reacting to all the drama; Jack suggested they tell him about their engagement, but she wanted to wait. They were surprised when Noah flat-out asked them if they're getting married. Noah wasn't pleased when they confirmed this. Still, the guys bonded over a mutual love over a certain comedian and garlic and jalepeño jelly beans. Ew! After Jack left, Brad came by and filled her in on his encounter with Neil. She admitted that she's unsure if she really loves Jack, and that it was Brad she was thinking about when she fell into the river.

Phyllis paid Lauren and Michael a visit. She 'fessed up about the blackmail scheme to Michael and how that was what she, Sharon and Dru were fighting about at the photo shoot. Later, Jack questioned Phyllis about Sharon and Brad. This time around, Phyll kept her mouth shut. Meanwhile, Brad and Sharon kissed.

Neil visited the cliff that Drucilla fell from and spoke out loud to her about how much he missed her. He barely held back the tears as he kneeled down beside the many flower arrangements which had been placed in the spot and recalled Lily's birth. "I would change places with you if I could," he whispered. "If I could just find you and bring you home, the whole world would be safe again." Neil then recalled other moments between him and Dru: the first time they met in the mailroom; the first time they went dancing together.

Nicholas found Phyllis nervously pacing around. He reported that with the particular weather report for that day, there was little chance Dru survived. After Nick warned Noah that when they visit Sharon in the hospital, she'll look banged up, Noah took it in stride, comparing his mom to a chameleon.

At the hospital, Brad sat with Sharon. She asked about Dru and he said that they're still searching for her. Brad blamed Phyllis for Sharon's condition. Noah then came to see Sharon and brought her his superhero comic book, which basically contained stick figures wearing capes. Sharon enjoyed her gift. Noah was glad his mom was okay. Nick then sat with her. She wondered when she should tell Noah about Dru. Nick suggested that Noah see a therapist to talk about all of the bad things he's experienced over the past year. Later, at the coffeehouse, Nick told Noah that Dru is missing. Noah wanted to help find her, but Nick explained that it's too dangerous. Nick agreed to take him to the spot where the women fell.

At Newman, Brad confronted Phyllis about the cliffside accident and accused her of having no soul. Brad then blamed her for possibly killing Dru. Jack interrupted and defended her, reminding Brad that Phyllis tried to save Sharon's life. Later, Jack told Brad that they should write a memo at work regarding the accident. David stopped by and told Jack how relieved he is Sharon is alive. He informed them that he already wrote a statement about Dru. David noted that Sharon's accident could give Jack the sympathy vote in the senate race.

Phyllis went to the cliff and found Neil there. Neil demanded that she tell him what happened at the photo shoot. She explained that she and Sharon had a disagreement, but didn't reveal that they were arguing over her blackmail of Sharon and Brad. After, she met up with Nick and Noah and filled him in on seeing Neil. Phyllis again blamed herself for the accident, but Nick said it wasn't her fault. Phyllis disagreed.

Devon later visited the cliff and lamented losing two moms. Lily joined him and reminded him that Dru will always be his mom. Neil urged the teens not to give up hope that Dru is alive. Colleen and Daniel joined them. Lily asked if she could use Daniel's cell phone to take a picture of the spot ... and was shocked to find a picture of breasts on her husband's phone. Daniel insisted that he doesn't know who the woman is and that it was probably sent by a classmate. At home, Lily wasn't sure how she was going to tell the rest of the family. Still, she called Olivia to give her the bad news, breaking down as she told her. She also continued to be suspicious of Daniel when she saw he had a new e-mail address.

Neil visited Sharon in the hospital. He urged her not to blame herself for what happened to Dru. Sharon 'fessed up to sleeping with Brad and Phyllis's blackmail. Neil connected the dots and realized that that's what the ladies were arguing over when they fell. Things got worse as she revealed that the only reason he ended up on the Newman board was because of Phyllis's manipulations.

Phyllis also visited with Sharon. Sharon thanked her for saving her life; Phyllis promised to keep the affair quiet.

Noah and Nick visited the cliff. Noah believed that if Dru is dead, she's someone's guardian angel.

Neil told Phyllis he knows about the blackmail and blamed her for Dru's disappearance.... Brad went to see Sharon and she revealed that she told Neil the truth about them. Brad leaned in to comfort her ... just as Jack arrived to see them in an embrace.
