Y&R Recaps Week of April 23, 2007
Friday, April 27, 2007
An amused Michael watched Lauren make last-minute preparations for Phyllis's
bridal shower. Lauren promised to do something for him in exchange for him
not eating or touching anything for five minutes. Lauren was confident that
Nicholas would still go through with making his marriage to Phyllis legal in
Wisconsin even though he was aware of his bride's blackmail scheme.
Or maybe not. Phyllis was disappointed when Nick informed her that he won't
be at the party because he needs to attend a meeting. Victoria was then
surprised to see him at said meeting. He admitted that he isn't sure he can
trust Phyllis, then filled in his sister on the blackmail plot. Vicky was
understandably upset, especially since this was yet another thing Brad kept
from her.
Colleen and Adrian were disappointed that he lost the museum job in Paris.
Korbel assumed they'd found a more qualified candidate, but Colleen doubted
that anyone else had his credentials. After, Colleen complained to Brad
about the lost position, while Adrian got in touch with some of his other
art contacts. He was surprised to learn that no one had been hired for the
museum position. Brad made some more calls to the museum, as well.
David was shocked and not too pleased that Jack eloped with "tabloid queen"
Sharon. He suggested that they keep their union secret for now. Jack didn't
like this plan.
Phyllis arrived at Lauren and Michael's. She invited her pal to stick
around, but he declined. "I've heard that a man named Fabio is about to jump
out of a cake wearing nothing more than a manly smile. And I find that
degrading to my sex," Michael cracked, though he did offer to strip for her.
Phyllis insisted that he join them, but Lauren said he has to keep his
clothes on. Soon, Nikki joined them. She was about to toast to her new
daughter-in-law, when Victoria barged in to confront Phyllis about Brad and
Sharon. Both she and Nikki were appalled that Phyllis knew about the affair
and hadn't said anything ... and how she'd coerced Brad into voting Neil
onto the Newman board. Vicky called Phyll a "horrible person." She and Nikki
told her that they're not standing up for her at the wedding after all.
Later, Michael and Lauren tried to cheer up Phyllis. They happily accepted
when she re-invited them to be in the wedding party.
Noah gave Sharon lip about attending Nick and Phyllis's rehearsal dinner
rather than going to his friend Sam's birthday party. Sharon put her foot
down, but he smart-mouthed that Nick and Phyllis are already married. After,
Nick came by and asked Jack to help him get Noah to listen to the adults.
Alone, Noah confessed to his dad that he doesn't think of Phyllis as family.
Nick pointed out that Noah now has four parents.
Nikki told Victor about Phyllis and Brad's bad behavior. Victor seemed more
upset by Brad, whom he called a "no good S.O.B." Newman made a beeline for
Brad, who insisted that he loves Victoria. Newman warned him that by hurting
Victoria, Brad also hurt her father. He then punched Carlton.... Vicky was
upset with Nikki for telling Victor about Brad cheating. Nikki explained
that she is keeping the blackmail under wraps for now in case she needs to
pull that out in order to win the election.... Later, Victoria confronted
Brad about also keeping the blackmail secret from her. Victor then asked
when she's going to divorce her husband. Vicky told him to butt out.
Phyllis, Michael and Lauren nervously waited for people — including the
groom — to arrive at the empty wedding rehearsal. Phyllis was relieved when
Nick soon arrived with Noah, but they needed to leave so Nick could take
Noah to his friend's party — which he'd agreed to let the kid attend.
However, things seemed bleak when the minister hurt his back and couldn't
come for the rehearsal.

Phyllis continued to plead with Nicholas to forgive her for her blackmail
scheme. Nick pointed out that she knew what she was doing and that she
promised not to have secrets between them. She wanted him to get past it,
citing all the little things he knows about her, including a gross habit,
but he didn't think he could just forget about it. "Stop looking at me like
that!" she begged.
Gloria began to panic over the prospect of William learning that she tainted
the Jabot cream. She put a plan into action as she invited Bardwell over for
dinner. Later, Glo questioned him about the case, but he said he can't talk
about it. When he stepped away, she added some of her trusty libido enhancers to his wine. She then made him sniff her arm so he could get a whiff of her newest scent. He liked it. They agreed they enjoy spending time together and began kissing. She pulled away, saying that she felt like she was cheating on John.
Lily confided in Colleen how she's having a difficult time dealing with
Drucilla's disappearance and Daniel's sneaky behavior. Colleen revealed her
plans to go to Paris with Adrian. They were interrupted by Devon and Daniel.
Lily was concerned when Devon mentioned that Neil was home alone. When they
returned home, she was upset to see him packing up Dru's things. Neil said
that Dru would want that. He reminded Lily that even without Dru there,
they're still a family and need to stick together.
Brad and Sharon met up and joked about whose marriage would dissolve first:
his and Victoria's or hers and Jack's. Noah bounded in, ecstatic about his
soccer game. He informed Brad that he's been e-mailing Abby. After Noah
left, Brad urged Sharon to get that annulment from Jack. She was furious
with him for not supporting her marriage.
Colleen and Korbel looked forward to living in France, though she admitted
to being a little nervous about the move. He sent out his letter of
resignation to GCU. Later, Brad came to see his daughter at work and told
her he doesn't think she's ready for such a big step. Too bad, she told him.
Later, Adrian informed her that his job offer in France was rescinded.
Meanwhile, Brad chatted with director from the museum where Korbel was
supposed to have worked, saying that he was happy to donate one of Rebecca's
paintings. Sneaky, Brad!
Phyllis told Michael that Nick knows about the blackmail plot. Michael wryly
noted that confessions are "good for the soul, but they are hell on
relationships." She was desperate to come up with a way to fix it. Michael
advised her to "do nothing," explaining that she shouldn't be rash. "Let
Nick go through whatever Nick has to go through and he will come around,"
said Baldwin.
Nick met up with Jack and pointed out the weirdness of his ex-stepfather now
being Noah's stepfather. Jack promised to take good care of Noah. The guys
then dished about being wed to Sharon and Phyllis.
Sharon ran into Neil at the GCAC and they had a civil conversation. He
invited her to help go through Dru's things. He gave Lily Dru's jade cross
and Devon, Dru's Bible. He then gave Daniel Dru's locket, which contained
Lily's baby picture and gave Sharon a medal Dru had won in a ballet
competition. "She kept it in her purse for good luck," explained Neil.
Sharon came home and told Jack that she doesn't want an annulment. He said
that he'd like to stay wed to her, as well.... Nick started to soften toward
Phyllis. She again apologized, but feared he now couldn't trust her.
Michael made some calls to find out about Jabot.... Will informed Gloria
that they found a glove in the trash that tested positive for the chemical
that was used to contaminate the cream. Gulp, went Gloria.

Adrian and Colleen met up to work on a certain paper. He noted that he
almost got a ticket because he drove over so quickly. Their work was
interspersed with kissing. Coll repeated her desire to go to Paris with him.
He worried that moving there would be a huge change for her. She didn't
care. He happily invited her to come with him. They declared their love for
each other. Later, they began looking for a Parisian apartment. She
looked forward to being able to enjoy their relationship in public. He was
supportive when she wanted to tell everyone about their plans right away.
Jack was shocked when Sharon told him about her affair with Brad. He
wondered if it was just sex or revenge on Nicholas; Sharon said that the latter
was part of it. Jack was furious that she hadn't told him about this before
they were married. He concluded that the only reason she said anything was
because she was afraid someone else would fill him in first. "Do you love
him?" he asked quietly. Sharon replied that she loves Brad as a friend and
that both she and Brad are committed to their marriage. She argued that Jack
has had plenty of flings, but Jack explained that her relationship with Brad
is ongoing. Abbott stated that if Brad were single, Sharon would've been
with him. She insisted that Jack is her first choice and the man she wants
to be with, but her new hubby wasn't so sure he could believe her. He
stormed out.
Meanwhile, Nick asked Brad why he married Victoria if he was going to cheat
on her a month later. Nick warned him that Vicky's never going to trust him
again.... Brad accused Phyllis of blabbing, but she insisted she didn’t.... Nick told Phyllis that Victoria hired J.T. to get dirt on Brad and
Sharon. Newman wondered if Sharon had slept with Brad before then; Phyll
advised him not to dwell on it. She squirmed as Nick insisted that they
always be honest with each other.
Maybe not, but Victoria was too distracted to think about Brad. She was busy
enjoying sex with J.T. After, she quickly got dressed and got right back to
making business calls. J.T. asked her if she regretted sleeping with him;
she explained that it wasn't premeditated. "Stuff happens," shrugged J.T.
He wondered what Vicky would do now. "I was thinking of creating my own
reality TV show called HOW MESSED UP IS THIS?" she cracked, "starring Nick,
Phyllis, Brad, Sharon, myself and you can be the host. I'm sure it'd be a
hit.".... Brad kept calling Victoria, but she didn't answer.
Brad and Jack had an extremely awkward moment when they met up in
the Newman elevator. Brad curtly congratulated Jack on his marriage to
Sharon. Jack made small talk about how difficult it must be for Brad to work
with his wife when Vicky's dad is also the boss.
Victoria paid Sharon a visit. Sharon tried to explain, but Vicky cut her
off. "There's no need to explain," snarked Victoria. "We all know that you
can't function without a man. It doesn't really matter who. This thing with Brad was what, your third or fourth time forgetting your wedding vows? Oh,
and by the way, double points for doing it with your sister-in-law's
husband." Sharon informed her that she and Jack were now married. "Please
give my condolences to the groom," huffed Vicky before leaving.
Jack and Phyllis got together to do work. He realized that she was aware of
Brad and Sharon's affair. He was upset about being the last to know and
assumed his new marriage was over. Phyllis noted that either he believes
Sharon when she says she has feelings for him or gets past it. Jack reminded
her how Phyllis strung him along while she was getting involved with Nick.
Abbott called himself a "backup plan" and said he probably deserved to be
treated this way after the all the women he's been with. Phyll apologized
for hurting him.
Sharon called Brad to tell him about her encounter with Victoria. He
reported that he confronted Phyllis, but she denied telling anyone about them.
He also filled her in on his encounter with Jack.... Victoria arrived at
work and told Nick that she went to see Sharon. Brad then cornered his wife
and asked to speak with her alone. Vicky told him that as much as she wants
to end their relationship, she doesn't want their baby growing up with
divorced parents. Brad was willing to give their marriage another chance, as
well. They were interrupted by Colleen and Korbel. Adrian informed Victoria
that he's moving to France with Colleen. Vicky was visibly appalled, but
held it in and wished Adrian and Colleen the best. Coll told Brad that she's
following Korbel to Paris. After, Brad warned Adrian that he wouldn't get
away with this. Later, Victoria gleefully told Brad that she wished Korbel
all the best. Brad was flummoxed by this and accused her of doing it to get
back at him. Vicky replied that she just wanted to support a couple who
wished to have their relationship out in the open rather than sneaking
around.
A nervous Phyllis admitted to Nick that she knew about Sharon and Brad and
chose to keep that secret from him. Nick was shocked, especially when she
explained that she hid the information to "help" him. She then revealed that
she'd blackmailed Brad into voting Neil onto the board. "You told me you
wanted to be a better person," he stated. "I am a better person," she
tearfully informed him. "I promise it'll never happen again. Please just say
that we're okay," she begged. Nick was furious with her for waiting to tell
him. "Look how many you hurt — and for what?" he pointed out, concluding
(like Jack) that she only 'fessed up because she was afraid her scheme would
be exposed.
Jack returned home and offered Sharon an annulment.

Victor joined Nikki at the breakfast table, where she was reading up on
campaign literature. Victor quizzed her on what she was doing, but she
wouldn't discuss it. She couldn't understand why he'd support Jack over her.
Amber and Cane snuggled in bed together. She started going on about how
their place is too small. Soon, Katherine called and requested that they
meet her for lunch because she had a proposition for Cane. While Cane
stepped away, Amber, who's obviously a GUIDING LIGHT fan and watched Bridget
cause the Springfield Blackout of 1992, turned on her hairdryer at full
blast, causing all the lights to go out in her and Cane's apartment. After,
they met up with Kay at the GCAC. She asked Cane to supervise a Chancellor
Industries construction project for Clear Springs. Cane was hesitant to
accept a job based on nepotism. Kay assured him that she believes in him. At
home, Amber was disappointed when Cane fixed the electrical problem. She
urged him to accept Kay's job offer.
Victoria angrily shuffled papers. Brad came downstairs and tried to chat
with her about the baby. She didn't even want to look at him and stormed out
to meet up with Nicholas. She asked Nick to tell her "I told you so" about
being concerned over her marrying Brad. She then told him about Brad and
Sharon's affair. Nick was more upset over the fact that Sharon had been
upset with him for cheating when she'd also had an affair. Nick offered to
beat up Brad.... A concerned J.T. called Vicky to check in on her.
Sharon revealed to a shocked Victor that she and Jack wed, while Jack
informed Nikki about the nuptials. Jack urged Nikki to drop out of the race
for the sake of her marriage. Sharon then shared her news with Brad, who
told her that Victoria knows about the affair. Victor interrupted them;
Sharon politely lied that she and Brad had to leave to discuss business. Vic
raised an eyebrow. Once alone, Sharon began railing against Phyllis, whom
she assumed blabbed. She worried about how the news would affect Jack.
Victoria told her mom about the affair. Nikki warned her to be careful if
she's going to go after Brad. Vicky then worried that she gave Brad a reason
to cheat on her. Nikki advised her to be cautious about Carlton and that you
can't be certain about someone really changing. After, Vicky joined J.T. for
lunch and jokingly asked how she could get away with killing Brad. He
suggested a slow poison. Brad then called and she hung up on him.
Victor congratulated Jack on the wedding. Jack repaid Newman all the money
he owed him and suggested Vic use it to buy a new business for Nikki. Jack
explained that Victor's friendship inspired him to do the right thing.
Later, Nikki told Victor that she intends to win the senate race.
Nick confronted Sharon about the affair, blasting her for hurting Victoria.
Sharon apologized for making a mistake, explaining that she slept with Brad
in order to move on with her life. Nick noted that her form of therapy broke
up a marriage; Sharon pointed out that his affair with Phyllis was basically
the same thing. Later, Nick reamed out Brad for hurting Victoria and taking
advantage of Sharon. Brad smugly noted that Nick's the real expert when it
comes to adultery. Nick demanded to know if he cheated on Vicky with anyone
else. Meanwhile, J.T. continued to comfort Victoria. Soon, they were kissing
passionately.... Sharon bit the bullet and 'fessed up about her affair to
Jack.

Sharon was taken aback when Jack asked her to elope. She explained that she
was hesitant because she thinks they should wait until after the election.
Jack suggested that they keep it secret until after the election. He told
Sharon that she's the only thing that's made the past few months bearable
for him. Aww. Sharon was touched and agreed to marry him as soon as
possible. When Sharon jokingly suggested they wed that night, Jack took her
seriously, wanting to be spontaneous.
Victoria came home and confronted Brad about his relationship with Sharon.
Brad tried to evade the question. When she named the hotel he and Sharon had
been at in New York, he denied it. Victoria wouldn't hear it and chewed him
out. Realizing he was cornered, Brad confessed that he and Sharon "ran into"
each other. Vicky wanted more details. Brad finally, finally admitted that
he'd cheated on his wife. "Finally, an honest answer," Vicky spat. You said
it! Brad still insisted that he and Sharon love each other as "friends."
"very friendly friends," sniffed Victoria. Brad then stated he's in love
with his wife and said he's sorry he hurt her. Victoria replied that he's
just sorry he got caught. She demanded the entire story, but Brad refused,
fearing it would upset Vicky. Later, she and Brad recalled happy moments
from their wedding. She was bitter about being so naïve at the time. Brad
again said that he loved her. "I can't believe a word you say," she
whispered.
Nicholas and Phyllis came home and chatted with Noah about the test he was
supposed to be studying for. Nick was called away, so Phyllis offered to
help Noah. "You're not my mom; I don't have to do what you say," her stepson
informed her. Phyllis briefly got through to him by appealing to his love of
superheroes, but kept getting interrupted by Summer crying. When Nick
returned, he was annoyed that she didn't get Noah to do his work and he read
a comic book instead. Later, Sharon came by and revealed to Nick that she and
Jack are getting married. Nick didn't understand why they were rushing it,
but was supportive. He agreed to keep the nuptials secret for now. Sharon
then informed Noah about the wedding. Noah gave her his blessing and they
hugged. Sharon then asked him for help in choosing a dress (both were blue),
but Noah suggested she don her pink sweats. Sharon chose a dress after all,
then bonded with Jack over losing someone close. The justice of the peace,
Jason, and his wife, Anne, arrived. As Sharon got ready, Ghost John paid
Jack a visit and gave his son his blessing.... Nick gave Phyllis a book
about preteens. Phyllis thought he was overreacting about Noah's comic book
reading. Nick urged her to give the book a try.... Sharon emerged in a navy
blue dress. Though there was an awkward moment when she realized she forgot
her wedding bouquet, Noah quickly handed it to her and the couple was able
to wed. Sharon broke into joyful tears during their vows as she recalled how
Jack still looked at her as if she were beautiful when she was recently in
the hospital. "I can't wait to be your wife," she told him. They finally wed
as Ghost John happily looked on. The couple, plus Noah engaged in a very
cute group hug.
