Nikki welcomed Victor to the hospital, where they both rejoiced in the news that Nicholas was alive. She wanted to know why Victor hadn't returned any of her calls. Victor had no interest in discussing anything other than Nicholas. He entered his son's room and assured him that he would fully regain his memory. Nikki thought Victor was ignoring her as a kind of punishment. Victoria ran into Victor's arms. Victor expressed his condolences about her miscarriage. Victoria happily told Victor and Nikki that she was pregnant again, with J.T. (or possibly Brad's) baby. Victor congratulated Jack on his election. Jack said, "I couldn't have done it without your financial backing." Victor reminded Jack that "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." David entered the room and came face to face with Victor (husband of the woman he was caught kissing, and their liplock was plastered all over the Internet). Tense moment. Very tense moment. Victor punched David in the face. Nikki ran up to try to stop any further violence. Victor didn't want to speak to her about it. Nikki wanted to talk it out; Victor refused. She accused Victor of not being able to grieve and that's why he ran away. Victor bluntly said he wasn't interested in how Nikki was feeling and stormed off.

Phyllis collected things in hopes of jogging Nicholas' memory about their relationship and marriage. Sharon and Jack told Noah that his father was alive. "Dad's alive?! Where is he?" he said, wanting to rush to the hospital. However, Sharon explained that Nicholas doesn't have all his memory. "How old does he think I am, 8?" he asked. Nicholas teared up when he saw Noah. "Look at you, you're huge," he said. Nicholas sent Noah out to get a milkshake. Nick said his heart was having a hard time playing catch-up to the fact that Sharon is now married to Jack. Phyllis modeled the hat Nick had bought for her in Mexico. He continued to look quite incredulous about being married to Phyllis. "We're married and we have a really good relationship," Phyllis said through her tears. Nicholas replied, "I believe that." "You just don't feel it," she said. Nicholas looked uncomfortable. Phyllis began crying to Jack about Nick's apparent disinterest in her. "It's like I'm losing him all over again," she cried. Jack hugged her. Nick's face lit up when Sharon returned to his room. Nick began to weep. "If I was super, I would have been able to save Cassie. How do you go on?" he wept as if Cassie had died yesterday. Sharon began crying. "The sadness never goes away," she said, and the two wept in each other's arms.

Brad told Victoria about some pre-natal vitamins. Victoria was touched by his concern about her pregnancy but didn't know who the father of her baby was — Brad or J.T. Brad told Victoria and J.T. that if the baby turns out to be his after he/she is born, then Brad insisted he'll raise it.

Cane told Amber that he sent his recent inheritance to his uncle. "We live in a mansion, he lives in a hovel," he explained to his somewhat stunned wife. Cane said he might be able to help Kevin locate Jana. Amber dug up Plum's money in the backyard.

News of Nick's survival spread while Phyllis tried again to connect with her hubby. He asked for Sharon and his daughter Cassie, but instead Phyllis told him the stories of their two weddings. He didn't want to hear it and asked her to leave, but she stayed and showed him pictures. Then, fighting the tears, she started telling him about Summer, which calmed him. This time, he asked her to stop in a nicer way. Then he was saved by Victoria's arrival. They joked around and she accidentally slapped him on his injured leg. When Phyllis left them to catch up, he told his sis he was confused and frustrated by his memory loss. Victoria got a legit smile out of him when he heard she was preggers.

Out in the waiting room, Sharon and Jack empathized with the position both their exes were in and excused themselves for a meeting with Ben. They didn't get much done before Sharon called to check on Nick's status. Then she returned to the meeting, but her head was clearly not in it. She was wondering how to tell Noah about Nick. Ever understanding, Jack told her to head back to the hospital. Then the guys concluded their biz. "You don't have to pretend that this situation with Nicholas isn't bothering you," Ben empathized and suggested Jack go to his wife.

At the hospital, Victor was still MIA and Phyllis, with Nikki by her side, pushed the doctor for info on Nick's memory loss. The doc didn't have answers yet. Later, Phyllis brought Summer by and told Nick more stories. Nick was impressed with their girl, but still couldn't relate to how they'd made her together. "You're not my type," he told her as he struggled to make sense of it. Hurt, Phyllis rushed out as soon as Nikki interrupted. Nick's frustration was clear and his mother's snide comments about Phyllis didn't help.

After having his divorce settlement canceled due to Nick's return, Brad got a call to pick little Abby up. When he got her home, she pouted that she was sick, but she was actually upset about the divorce. "Victoria hates me," she insisted, so he called Victoria and asked for her help. She came by while they awaited Nick's test results and invited Abby to hang at the ranch. Abby gave her the cold shoulder, but Victoria eventually won her over and they made a play date. She also dropped an appointment card for her OB-GYN, which Brad found later. Oops!

Back at the hospital, Victoria, Phyllis and Sharon questioned Logan about her time with Nick. The other doc returned with news that there wouldn't be permanent brain damage, though there was no update on whether his amnesia would last. Then Sharon asked Phyllis for permission to have alone time with Nick. He was trying to make sense of Cassie's not being there and said he needed to see Noah. Then he remembered a happy time with Sharon and asked, "Are you happy with Jack?" She said she was and when Jack showed up later, she told Jack, "Just because he doesn't remember it doesn't mean that it didn't happen — the affair, his marriage to Phyllis, their baby. He's acting like he never even hurt me." She also appeased him by saying she wasn't feeling "nostalgic." Then, as Nick was being wheeled away to get an MRI, Victor returned!

At Crimson Lights, Kevin filled Lily in on his search for Jana. They looked for location clues in the background from his last chat with her. After Lily wondered about a piece of skull and bones art, Kevin e-mailed the image to Colleen. Colleen recognized it, but warned it could be a red herring from Jana. Then she got more info from Adrian's book, reading aloud about the infamous burial grounds in Eastern Europe. When her professor-love overheard, he was not pleased. "I spent a lot of time on this research and it would be nice if my work wasn't leaked to the public beforehand," he fumed. "This could be my big break and I really don't appreciate you using it for personal benefit." It didn't calm him when he heard she was using it to research Jana with Kev. Even Lily was concerned about those efforts and she told Colleen as much when they met at the coffeehouse. Then she and Kevin got back to searching Jana's chat background. He noted that unless the all the clues were red herrings, the sun was up when they spoke, so Colleen determined that "she can't be farther east than New York or farther west than the Asian coast." Noting Jana's warm weather clothing, she then narrowed it down to the northern hemisphere. When Kev stepped away to take a call, JT stepped in to give Colleen her third "Jana's-too-dangerous" lecture. When she mimicked those lectures to Kevin, it gave him an idea. "What if she thinks that I'm badly hurt or dying?" he plotted.

State Senator Jack woke up "invincible and eager to screw over anyone who opposed me." Ben warned that Jack shouldn't create an agenda to develop Clear Springs. "As a freshman legislator, you don't want the attention that this will get you...at least appear to keep your hands off," he urged. Then Jack received a champagne basket from Phyllis, but he put the card away as Sharon was coming downstairs and lied about whom it was from. Then, while Sharon got breakfast, he called Phyllis and offered her a job managing development at Clear Springs, including "environmental impact, development, design, community relations." Ben and Sharon didn't like the idea, but Sharon agreed to go along with it for the moment.

Gloria spoon-fed William while giving him a pep talk. Then she showed him his scrawled word, "murderer," and told him to think positive instead of dwelling on "scary things." She stopped Michael on his way out to fill him in. He warned her to stay by her hubby's side, which is what she did, even as he met with his speech therapist. When William made progress and sounded like he was trying to say "murderer," she ended the session. Then Maggie and Paul showed up, but she lied and said Will was sleeping. Maggie, who was determined to figure out why her boss was so secretive about his DNA investigation, told Paul she was suspicious of Gloria. Paul agreed.

Logan watched nervously over Nick, who weakly joked that as a doctor, she needed to work on her poker face. Another plane passed, but it didn't seem to see their fires or Logan jumping and screaming for attention, so the doc asked Nick if he had any messages to leave with her — presumably before he died. "Tell everyone I ever loved that I really loved them. And tell everyone that ever screwed me over that I never forgave 'em," he quipped, before getting serious and sending his love to his family. He also thanked Logan and insisted the doctor share her gifts by going back to work. Then they heard another plane and Logan opened the door to a park ranger. After barking orders, she told Nick his odds had improved. Once she got him checked into the hospital, she called Nikki. Nikki, who was with David, assumed it was a cruel crank call and hung up. When Logan called back, David answered the phone. She didn't respond well to his threats and even yelled at him. Just as he was hanging up, one of Nikki's people confirmed there was a doctor at the hospital with her name. After a short chat, Nikki dropped the phone and ran to the hospital. Logan let her right in to see her son. "Hi, Mom," he murmured. Sharon and Jack showed up next. When Nick asked Sharon for a welcome home kiss, he shocked everyone by slipping her some tongue! She told him it was "inappropriate," to which he answered, "Cause I wanna kiss my wife?" Sharon told him they were divorced, but the real shocker was the news that Cassie was dead. Confusion and anger turned to heartbreak as Nick cried and begged for his daughter. Once he was subdued, Logan explained the memory loss may be temporary. When Nikki took a break from the room, David said he was going to stay in town, "To see if you need anything. To see what happens next with us."

Meanwhile, having learned her day in court was being fast tracked, Phyllis — Nick's current wife — was toasting the signing of Summer's custody papers with Lauren and Michael. When she got Nikki's messages, she deleted most of them, but Michael insisted she listen to one. She was so shocked to hear her husband was alive that she just handed the phone to Lauren. Then she ran for the hospital, where she found Nick alone and unconscious. She kissed him and he woke with a start, demanding an explanation. "Get the hell off me," he insisted and asked his "wife" Sharon to get Phyllis out of the room.

Exit polls had Nikki winning the election, but after a late surge, the projected winner was Jack! He hired Ben as his chief of staff on the spot and kissed Sharon, while Phyllis watched with a smile. Nikki's crew gave her a pep talk, reminding her it was a close race that made Jack step up to the plate. Then she made her concession call. "I was hoping you might congratulate me," Jack cooed. "I'd love to tell the press that you were gracious in defeat." He also asked her to work with him, but she was too angry to respond. "For him, it's not about the people. It's about the power," she told her crew. She refused to give her prepared concession speech, but she was gracious at the podium nonetheless. "That took 10 years off my life," Nikki sighed. Later, when David offered Nikki a ride home, Karen lost control and accused him of having no respect or self control. "If you hadn't busted a move on her, she would be the one headed to the state capital," she stormed, but Nikki insisted she was a big girl who made her own mistakes. Karen countered that this wasn't the first time he'd pulled a stunt like this. Meanwhile, Senator Jack took the podium with Sharon to give his acceptance speech. While the couple worked the room later, Phyllis looked uncomfortable, but she played it off when Jack apologized for not thanking her publicly. She returned to her empty home and smiled at Jack's campaign pin, but the smile didn't last long.

After setting three fires as a distress signal, Logan told an impatient Nick he wasn't ready to hike home. Bullheaded Nick tried to get up anyway and collapsed in pain. Then he figured out she wasn't eating, because they were low on food. He feared she would be too weak to get him help. While she cleaned his bandage, he pushed for her history. She was resistant, but eventually revealed her family died in a car accident that she was in. She outlined a heartbreaking story about a drunk driver knocking them off the road. With her armed pinned, she'd been unable to save her two sons or her hubby. "I had a knife from the picnic. I should've cut off my hand. They died because... of me," she said and wouldn't hear Nick's insistence that it was the drunk driver's fault. Then she saw that his injury was infected and warned it could get worse. She jumped into action, saying it was time to switch up the plan and get him to the hospital. Nick was game, but Logan said they had to wait for morning. He screamed at her, insisting it was time to go. "We leave now!" he demanded, but she refused to lead him. Then they heard a plane, but there was no sign that it had seen them.

Kevin sent Jana a message, honestly admitting to his desires for revenge, but countering that by saying he was worried about her. At the same time, Jana was calling Colleen. She apologized for the attempted murder thing and then asked if Kevin had moved on without her. When she begged for Colleen's help, Colleen called her crazy but took her number for Kevin. The convo left her quite flustered and she went straight to Kevin, who told her he'd been talking to Jana. She couldn't believe he'd do that, but he explained, "It's the only way we're gonna find her." Colleen, who was still having nightmares and panic attacks, was too freaked out to help Kev, but he insisted he needed her, adding, "It's my fault that you were there. I have to do this for both of us. I can't have you worrying about this for the rest of your life." He called Jana and continued to play the hot and cold game with her, smiling as he lured her in. When Colleen filled Adrian in on Jana's call, however, he lost his patience and ordered her to stay away. Then he begged her, but she remained convinced that taking Jana down with Kevin was the right thing to do. She smiled and told him not to worry, but he went to Kevin's and told him to back off. "You are playing with the emotions of a wanted killer," he worried and told Kev not to "drag Colleen into this." Meanwhile, Jana was calling Colleen again. Colleen did not hold back on her feelings but still dropped the right breadcrumbs, telling Jana that Kevin was "just as sick as you are. And I guess that's why he can't get over you."

Victoria called JT on his cell and complained about her morning sickness. While she awaited her takeout order at Crimson Lights, she and Adrian talked a bit of biz. He admitted she and Colleen were on different sides of the vote.

Both Nikki's and Jack's campaign teams were watching news updates and stayed busy on the phones, inspiring folks to vote. Nikki remained confident as Karen and David coached her on how to respond to questions about her hubby, but only Karen went with her to vote. Nikki handled the interviews at the polls well and Neil even walked into the frame to cast his vote for her. When Neil went down to the garage, he found Karen freaking because she was locked out of her car. Not only was her phone stuck inside, but she'd gotten two parking tickets that day as well. Neil used a hanger to break in and after revealing she'd restored the car herself, she invited him to a thank you coffee. Meanwhile, Katherine ran into Jack and Sharon by the elevators as NVP/Newman. She too was confident Nikki would win and snidely noted, "I tried to talk your father into running for office once. Now there's a man with integrity. Too bad the apple fell so far from the tree. Rolled right down the gutter." Then Jack and Sharon hit the polls and he offered his own confident comments for the press. Once that was over, however, he gave into his nerves, but Sharon did her best to keep him smiling. On their way out, they ran into Gloria, who said, "I would crawl over broken glass to vote against you," but the early exit polls had Jack in a "slight lead." Of course, by the time Nikki was talking to David, she had the lead in the cities.

Paul and Det. Maggie discussed the election, but Paul avoided revealing his vote even after she tried to kiss it out of him. When the detective mentioned handling Will's case load, Paul sighed that he couldn't wait to close the Jabot case. "Somebody's going to jail for a long time," Maggie responded, but when they met up at the hospital to catch Will up on office biz, she revealed they had no leads on the mysterious DNA match. After Gloria helped Will with his exercises, the aid checked his progress. Will was able to hold the pen but couldn't yet write anything legible. Michael and Lauren came in and after hearing they could expect a full recovery, they offered to help Gloria and Will financially. Gloria countered that she'd like to move in with them.

Amber surprised Cane with a new motorcycle. After Neil passed through and cooed over it, Amber reminded Cane he'd almost ruined the surprise by finding her cash. Later, he showed the bike off to his grandmother, who begged out of taking a ride. "I believe there is a reason they call them donor cycles," Katherine shot and offered to buy any car he wanted. Unable to sway Cane, she went to man her position as a poll volunteer. Her first voters were Michael and Lauren, who good-naturedly teased her for not remaining impartial. After voting, Lauren insisted to Michael that they had to take in Gloria and Will.

At Crimson Lights, Amber ran into Kevin and told him all about an L.A. producer who was interested in her voice, but wanted a fresh demo. She conceded that she couldn't touch the buried money, but that was before she learned how much the demo would cost. Then Kev told her he'd heard from Jana, joking, "Once you've had Kevin Fisher, everything else pales in comparison." Amber rolled her eyes and wondered why he'd even talk to Jana. "I want her to suffer for what she did to me," he said, scaring Amber slightly. Then he read Amber the e-mail he was writing to Jana and Amber told him it was too sappy and didn't sound like him. She left him to go see Katherine and ask for a loaner for the demo. After her response to the bike, it was no surprise Katherine said no. Amber went back to Kevin, who was angry about the bike and said no to the demo for another reason. "You keep spending money like this, and people are going to be suspicious," he shot. When Gloria got to the coffeehouse, she asked Kevin for his help with Will. He begrudgingly agreed and then read her his revised e-mail to Jana, which sounded much more sarcastic, biting and "real." Then she went to get Will moved in, only to realize she'd left something at the hospital. When she got there, she found a piece of paper with Will's squirrelly writing on it. It said, "Murderer"! Meanwhile, Jana called Kevin at Crimson Lights. She told him to talk to Michael about helping her fix things, but wouldn't give him her contact info. That gave Maggie and Paul little to go on, but they agreed to set up tracking for her next call.
