Kevin taunted Jana with a gun, much to the horror of Michael, Colleen and Daniel. Daniel tried to convince Kevin to stop the madness. Kevin ordered them to leave, but they refused. Jana begged Kevin to reconsider and reminded Colleen that Kevin was hers. Colleen ran to Kevin. "I want revenge just as much as you do," she said. Kevin offered her the gun. Colleen suggested it might be better if Jana just rotted in jail. Kevin began thinking. Michael reminded Kevin that he had changed. After Colleen said her piece, she returned to Daniel and Michael. In the end, Kevin couldn't shoot Jana. He gave the gun to Michael and went to call the police. Jana looked at him with tears in her eyes. Jana threatened to "tell them everything. Kevin will join me in jail." The police came and handcuffed Jana. Det. Maggie showed up, and Michael and Colleen both pretended to have just arrived. Colleen drove Kevin to the hospital. Gloria ran to her son in the waiting room. Kevin saw Jana rushed into the emergency room. "No, no," he screamed, "she's faking." Maggie told Kevin to step back, and she told Paul that Jana had a seizure in the squad car. Paul stunned Maggie with news that Heather is his daughter and that Heather doesn't know. In Jana's hospital room, Jana began telling Maggie and Paul about Kevin luring her back and there being a lot of money involved. Maggie and Paul proceeded to asked Kevin about the money.

Cane opened the envelope with the copy of his wedding certificate. When he saw the document, he realized his signature had been forged. Cane showed it to Amber. Amber looked puzzled and tried to appear innocent when Cane pointed out that "that doesn't look like my handwriting." Amber made light of it, saying, "marrying you was the best thing that ever happened to me." At the bar, Cane showed Logan how to pour a beer. The two compared notes about life in the outback. Still at home, Amber called the wedding chapel to see if any photographs existed of her ceremony. She learned that she didn't pay the extra money for that. "Maybe I should have," she said. Daniel was sitting at the bar at Indigo when he overheard someone looking for Plum. He immediately called Amber.

Nick told Logan he was going to move back in with Phyllis. Nick hoped his memory would come back. He asked her what her plans were — "To go back to the woods and save people?" She said she could stay here in Genoa City, "but what for?" she asked. Nick reminded her that she was a good doctor.

Summer and Phyllis got ready for Nick's return. Nick arrived and Phyllis welcomed him. They were awkward with each other and tried to make small talk. However, the ice was broken when Phyllis challenged him to a video game. Nick didn't think it would be fair to Phyllis to sleep in the same bed with her. She shared that they used to have sex in the barn. Nick was embarrassed. Michael barged in. "Bad news. Your trial is back on," Michael said. Phyllis had to stay home so they could prepare her case. Nick went riding. Later, Michael brought Lauren up to speed on the Phyllis situation, commenting that his friend was very afraid of losing Nick again. Nick ran into Logan at the bar. She asked how the move was going. "Phyllis cracks me up," he shared, and continued to say nice things about Phyllis. "I'm starting to see why the old me married her," he added. Logan confessed to liking Genoa City. Nick said he could help her get a job.

Heather Stevens came to see William. She's the new assistant DA who was taking over his case. Lauren and Gloria looked panicked. Heather vowed not to let William down in any of his cases. Paul and Maggie arrived and re-met Heather, his former stepdaughter. Heather was working on the extortion case against Phyllis Newman. Paul took Heather out for a drink. "Where did the time go?" he asked. Heather had worked for the DA in Chicago, but wanted to settled down in a small town.

Jana woke from her chloroform sleep in handcuffs with a splitting headache, but the morning found Kevin in good spirits. With Colleen still locked in the closet, he smiled at Jana and talked about payback. Both ladies tried to talk their way to freedom, but Kevin told Colleen she was safer locked in and even though he remembered the good times with Jana, he couldn't resist taunting her. Jana outlined a plan to get "their" money out of the country. "Why don't you give me the number of that money guy?" Kevin cooed, moving in. "I'll handle it. I'll handle you. I'll handle everything." Colleen called out, urging him to turn in Jana and when that didn't work, she insisted a bullet was too kind a death for Jana. "Let's set the building on fire with her in it," she suggested. All this had Jana in a teary panic and Kevin enjoyed listening to the girls bicker and beg, until Jana went into convulsions. She came to asking strange questions about a baby in a nursery. An incredulous Kevin laughed, which caused him pain, as she talked of their married life in Yorkshire with two kids. Kevin "reminded" her of her attempts on his life, concluding, "This time I kill you instead." She said she "remembered": "There was a lot of money involved, and you forgave me, and so did your friend Colleen." She begged Kevin to take her home. A perplexed Kevin talked to Colleen through the door. She insisted he hadn't killed Jana because he didn't want to and offered, "What if she's really sick? There's a big difference between being sick and being evil." Ultimately, Kevin lost his patience and pulled the gun on Jana. This was it! But alas, Michael and Daniel stormed in. Kevin screamed that he was the one in control and bemoaned, "I never should have trusted you, any of you." Colleen was let out anyway and when Michael yelled at Kevin, he put the gun to Jana's temple. They almost talked him down after that, but then Jana spoke and sent him back into a rage.

After Victor signed Karen on at Newman, Nikki asked why he didn't discuss it with her. He couldn't imagine why he should have. Karen got settled into Drucilla's old office and got right to work. When Nikki brought in a project for her Victor tried to undermine her, but Nikki cut him off. Aware of the tension, Neil excused himself and Karen. Nikki accused Victor of "trying to put me in my place," but the control freak denied it. After sharing her concerns about his use of fear as a motivator at work, she asked him to sell her Jabot. "What a ridiculous idea," he guffawed.

Noah refused breakfast, rudely pushing Phyllis to let him skip it and go buy a new video game. When Nick showed up, he complained to his father and continued being "feisty." Sharon called and after hearing him yell at Nick she wanted to come over, but Nick told her Noah needed time with him. Phyllis excused herself so the boys could "figure out what's really going on here," as Nick put it. Noah told him not to make any promises since he can't even remember them and it became clear Noah was afraid his father would stop loving him the way he'd stopped loving Sharon and Phyllis. Noah asked if Nick was afraid to move home because Phyllis would want sex. "You used to laugh a lot when you were with Phyllis, too. But you don't laugh much now," he noted and suggested Nick move back in and not have sex with her. Nick gave Phyllis a warm welcome when she returned. Once he got her alone, he raved about how she was with Noah. Then he said he was coming home to live with her, which Noah overheard and supported wholeheartedly. She tried to be reasonable, so they teamed up on her. Then Sharon showed up, having killed time by bonding with Logan and then Neil about their losses. She'd also had a chat with Phyllis, who'd talked about all the "tap dancing" she'd been doing since Nick returned. "Any other time I'd say, 'Hey, take a hike!' But, you know, I can't. I have a daughter," Phyllis had explained. The women had agreed Noah needed to go home with Sharon and that they had to be firm with him, so Sharon was surprised when Noah announced he was going to live with Phyllis and Nick.

Logan and Nick caught up on the past few years in his life and the world in general. "Dick Cheney shot someone," Logan explained. Nick was amused. "There are too many jokes there," he quipped. Sharon called Nick and Phyllis with news of Noah's disappearance. Jack tried his best to calm Sharon down, and he contacted the police. Sharon kept hunting. The police showed up and promised to search. Sharon reminded Nick that life had been pretty rough for Noah in the past two years. Nick went out to search Jack's property. Jack offered to go with him. "I'd rather you didn't," he said. Logan shared her experience and explained that her two sons had died in a car accident. Phyllis found Noah in the barn and managed to get him to appear by saying she was going to feed a marshmallow and rice treat to one of the horses. The two began snacking. Noah wondered how she knew he was there. Phyllis said she knew that he liked to talk to the horses. Noah didn't think his mom cared that he was missing. Noah wished that Jack didn't win the election. Phyllis invited Noah for a sleepover with Daniel and Lilly. Then she brought Noah home. Sharon and Nick talked with their son. Noah admitted he hitchhiked, which angered Sharon and Nick. "You are going to be punished," Sharon said. "If you do, I'll just run away again," Noah stated as he stormed off. Logan explained that Noah's world was very fragile these days. Noah came back with his backpack and told his parents he hated them. He said he wanted to live with Phyllis.

Ji Min and Jill were kissing. Their romantic interlude was followed by a marriage proposal. "You are lucky to have a man like me who worships at your feet," he noted. Jill broke it up, fearing Kay would walk in. Jill was stunned by the proposal and admitted she was crazy about him. "Chemistry counts for a lot," Ji Min said. Jill tried to picture them being married. Kay burst in, saying that Ji Min wanted to marry Jill to get to Kay's money. "You want to marry a criminal?" she asked Jill. Kay threatened to turn Ji Min in. "This insane anger of yours must be directed at Jack," he said as he left with Jill.

Cane and Amber arrived at the house and immediately headed to their room. "I'll help you wash up," she said seductively. Later, the two tiptoed downstairs and ran into Kay. She said Esther had made a tofu cheesecake (?). Amber snuck out of the house to go bury Plum's money. Someone was watching Amber dig. She ran into Ji Min, who was looking for Jill's purse. Amber headed upstairs. Ji Min looked as if perhaps he had seen something strange.

Colleen didn't think Kevin's plan to lure Jana was any good. Kevin kept telling her to shut up and leave. Colleen refused. "She is a killer!" Colleen cried. Jana didn't want to meet Kevin where he suggested. "I need to meet someplace neutral. How about the water tower in an hour?" Jana said. Kevin said he was on his way. "Wait right there," Jana said, startling Kevin and Colleen. Jana pulled a gun on Kevin. He tried to explain that Colleen found out about them "by accident." Colleen and Kevin tried to explain why they are now friends. Jana said they shouldn't trust her. Kevin told Jana that he hid the money because he wanted to make sure he could trust her. "I love you," crazy Jana cried. Kevin told Colleen to get the money. Colleen obliged and Kevin locked her in the other room. A frantic Colleen began pounding on the door. "Do you love me?" Jana asked. "You know I do," he said. Kevin told Jana he had the money. "We've got to get out of here," Kevin said. He rattled off all the good things Jana had told him during the course of their relationship. "Please put the gun down, honey," he begged. Jana put it down, and they began kissing. Colleen kept pounding on the door. Quick Kevin chloroformed Jana and she fainted. He handcuffed his ex but refused to let Colleen out. "You are not going to become a part of this," he vowed.

Cane and Katherine bonded over drinks. He asked her how well she knows the Forresters. Katherine wondered what specifically he wanted to know about Amber's past. Cane claimed he wasn't having doubts about her. "I'm just curious," he confessed. Kay didn't want to play marriage counselor. "You have more life experience," he said diplomatically. Kay called Amber a "bleach blonde throwback to Marilyn Monroe," and suggested he not borrow trouble. Kay kissed her grandson goodbye and left him to ponder the mysteries of his wife. Cane remembered the day after they married and called the Las Vegas chapel for a copy of their marriage certificate. Amber met up with Cane and flirted with her husband, who then wanted to leave immediately. However, Amber's car broke down. Cane found some money in the trunk. A fast-talking Amber laughed about her money falling out of her purse as she grabbed the bag that was filled with all of Plum's dough.

Kevin and Jana talked via web cam. Clearly in pain, Kevin said he was desperate to see her. Lily called Daniel, enticing him with his favorite dinner. Colleen was annoyed that Daniel had lied to Lily again. Jana signed off. "You should be glad that she's not coming back," said Amber. Amber and Daniel put the money in the trunk. "I'll bury it when everyone is asleep," Amber said. Colleen tried to get Kevin to accept that Jana wasn't coming back to Genoa City. Kevin refused to listen. "I want to take her down for your sake. I want to make it up to you," Kevin said, repeating that he was sorry for everything he'd done to Colleen. "I just want to see her in jail, and I want to be the one to put her there," he insisted. Colleen begged Kevin to go back to the hospital. Kevin couldn't believe that Colleen cared about him. Colleen added that Kevin should turn in Plum's money. He was about to leave when Jana came back online. "I need to be with you," she said. Kevin insisted Colleen leave as he waited for Jana with a gun.

Lily told Devon that Daniel was moving back in. "I want him here," she told her brother. Devon wasn't so sure that she wasn't just trying to convince herself that this was the right thing. "I love Daniel," she maintained. Lily welcomed her husband home, who looked incredibly guilty over his latest lie. Devon came in with a newspaper that said that Daniel was arrested in a downtown club. Fortunately, Lily was out getting desserts. Daniel said that he had gone there to watch girls strip. Daniel didn't want to explain any of this to Lily, and he asked Devon not to tell her. "Just leave it alone," he begged. "You're disgusting," Devon said to his brother-in-law.

Karen vented her frustration over Nikki's election loss to Neil. She felt that Victor's lack of support for Nikki resulted in her loss of the election. Neil took her out to Indigo for a drink. She was quite impressed by his club. Karen shared that, thanks to the election loss, "the job offers are not pouring in." Nikki complained to Kay that Victor was beginning to micromanage her business. ""It kills him that Jack came out on top," Nikki said. Nikki listed her options on dealing with Victor, and decided it was best to simply cut him out of the company.

Victor offered Karen a job. He told Nikki her campaign was well-run and specifically complimented Karen on her good work. Changing topics, Nikki couldn't find anything in her campaign report that implied she might be the target of a bomb. Victor said that he'd had the FBI check on the threat. Victor wanted to take a break and get out of town for a while. "Are we going to pretend to be a happy couple?" Nikki asked.

After Gloria flashed back to her confession to William, Maggie read the word William had written down: "murderer." Gloria asked her and Paul to leave, but they wanted to follow up with William, so Michael stepped in. He handed William the pen and asked if he had any leads on where Kevin might be. Then he held William's wrist and wrote "no." Then everyone got on their phones trying to track Kevin down. Nerves got the better of Gloria and Michael, who yelled at each other. After Maggie and Paul left, Gloria told William she'd never let anyone upset him like that again and kissed him on the lips. Lauren felt guilty and feared they'd all land in prison, while Maggie and Paul discussed what Gloria and her crew might be hiding.

Kevin baited Jana with the money he had, claiming he'd won it at the casino. He clearly wasn't well and she told him he needed to get to the hospital. Instead, he called Amber and Daniel and told them it was time to dig up their bag of cash. When they met up, Amber and Daniel tried to talk Kevin into putting off his plan until he was healthier. Kevin wasn't waiting and revealed he needed all the money for his plan. "Has it occurred to you that you could meet up with her, she could slit your throat and take it all for herself?" Amber asked, but Daniel had to admit it might work. They agreed to let Kev borrow the money. Then Colleen showed up, having followed Daniel. She railed on Kevin for putting his life in danger and demanded an explanation, threatening, "You have five seconds to tell me or I'm calling your brother. Or maybe I'll call the police." Then she spotted the bag, so they eventually told her it was money Plum left behind. "This is like a bad movie, you guys," she grumbled, but Kevin shrugged that she was now part of the movie. Back at the computer, Kevin showed Jana his bag of cash, as his backup trio watched off camera. "This is enough for us to start a life together," he told Jana. "I mean it. You and me — forever."

Victor was pleased to find his son "alive and well, back at the office." As they talked business, it was clear Nick wanted to jump back in, but Victor said he wasn't needed in the current meeting. That's because it was with Jack, Sharon, Neil, Ben and Karen and the topic was the mysterious circumstances of the plane crash, which no one wanted Nick to worry about. With all the changes to the passenger manifest, it was hard to determine who the intended target was, so Ben and Karen pulled any negative "fan" mail from the campaign. Neil told Victor he felt they should fill in Nick, but Victor was steadfast in protecting his son. Later, Victor talked alone to Karen, who wasn't warming up to him. When he asked for an explanation, she replied, "I mean no disrespect, but I really believe that Nikki could've won that election had she had your support."

When Logan stopped in to check on Nick, there was the typical banter. Nick revealed he wanted his life back, "the one where I'm still married to Sharon." Then he tried to catch up on two years of business. He also offered her a reward for saving him, so she jokingly asked for a lifetime supply of Newman cosmetics. Then Sharon and Jack stopped in, and tension was high. While Nick flirted with Sharon, Jack stayed glued to her side. After Sharon and Jack left, Neil came in. Logan excused herself after the meet and greet, leaving the guys to catch up. "Here I am complaining about losing a couple of years of my life and...you actually lost your wife. Kind of puts things in perspective, huh?" Nick empathized. Then he wondered how things went wrong with Sharon. "She is the perfect woman for me," he insisted, so Neil told him how hard it was for Sharon to come back from losing Cassie. "Don't undo all the progress she's made," Neil implored. Sharon, meanwhile, told Jack that Nick knew all about her affair, which made her feel guilty. Then he started to suggest a new photo shoot at Clear Springs, but stopped. He decided he was too worried she was the target of the jet explosion and wanted her to keep a low profile. Nick, on the other hand, caught her in the elevator and begged her to come work for Newman again because he had a new campaign in mind for her. Later, Victor told Jack he didn't "approve" of Jack's part in Clear Springs, but Jack shrugged, "If we're gonna make a profit here, we're kinda stuck with each other."
