J.T. and Victoria made out in their "safe haven" — the Newman Enterprises elevator — but were promptly caught by a newly shorn Nick. Victor continued to insult Nikki by insinuating that her relationship with David is more than business. After, Nikki met with David, while Victoria had a heart-to-heart with her dad and expressed her disappointment that he left town while his wife was grieving over their presumed-dead son.

Jana called Kevin at Crimson Lights and asked for an order to-go. Kevin told her they don't take orders from "the sixth realm of Hell." Daniel introduced Kevin to Carson, who flashed a photo of Plum. Carson explained that he was seeking his old buddy, who'd been honorably discharged from the Army. Kevin explained that Plum stayed at his place briefly and owes him rent money, so he'd like to track him down, too.

Amber showered Cane with kisses as he tried to work and talked about how much money he was going to make. Cane asked about her friend that they met in Vegas, covering that he thought she might be a good match for someone he knows. Amber said she thought Alison was in Illinois, visiting a "sick friend or something." Amber gave him a quick kiss and called him lucky before heading out. "Back at ya," he winked.

Jana made another call from the loony bin and contacted Michael. She begged him to the come to the hospital. When he showed up, she tried to explain that she truly is sick and needs a good defense lawyer.

Cane made a call to the Vegas chapel to ask what time he and Amber were married and was told 11:45. He then called the hotel claiming he never stayed there and was going to contest the charge on his credit card. He asked them to review the security footage from the lobby to prove they weren't there, but the person on the other end said their cameras were broken. Cane was irked. Meanwhile, Amber was P.O.'d that Kevin told Carson she was Plum's cousin. The guys advised her on spinning a new story that's somewhat closer to the truth. She and Carson sat down to drinks at Indigo and she explained that Plum was interested in dating her and was not her cousin, but when he realized she was married, he skipped town. She added that she had no idea where he might be. Carson met up with Cane next, and flashed the pic of Plum.

Nikki ran into Nick in the kitchen at Newman and got some comforting marital advice from her son, who wanted his mom to wait for Victor to come around. Nikki wondered how long that would take. After, Victoria and Nick discussed the Newmans' marital problems and agreed their parents need to grow up. Nick hoped they wouldn't make the same mistakes as their parents, even though they sort of already had. Meanwhile, Victor apologized to Nikki for being a "little harsh."Nikki accepted his apology, but advised him not to dictate what she does or how she thinks. When Victor raised his voice, Nikki accused him of treating her like a child, noting that's something David doesn't do. Victor demanded that she fire David and Nikki assumed that Victor was saying he'd leave her if she didn't, so she announced that she was leaving him and walked out.

Michael headed to Crimson Lights, where Kevin was buzzing about Jana getting a public defender. Michael advised him to worry about the servers at Jabot. Kevin asked his brother what he would say to Jana if she contacted him, but Michael claimed he'd tell her nothing, failing to mention his recent visit to the hospital. Kevin paid a visit to new ADA Heather, who informed him that Jana is suffering from a real brain tumor. Kevin insisted that Jana was faking her symptoms. Heather suggested that he seek psychological counseling and revealed that Jana was deemed unfit to stand trial, which greatly disappointed Kevin. Kevin went running back to Michael.

Cane confronted Amber about what he'd just learned: Plum's name was Garrett and he was her boyfriend. She confirmed the truth, but said she didn't know where Garrett had gone. Amber pouted that she should have told her husband and asked his forgiveness. Already done, he told her, and gave her a hug. Carson ran into the morgue clerk, who was immediately smitten. Michael visited Heather to convince her to let Jana stand trial, while Kevin saw Jana at the hospital and told her to plan to see him on the witness stand. Back in the elevator, Victoria pushed the emergency stop and started to get it on with J.T. Victor warned Nick that no one walks out on him without paying a price, while Nikki went to David's and announced that she'd left her husband. David offered her a shoulder to lean on, although he clearly wanted more than friendship. Nikki plotted to use their relationship against Victor, who vowed to Nick that he'd bring down NVP and send Nikki back to where she came from.

In the aftermath of William's death, Michael and Kevin were concerned about Gloria. Kevin reported that she'd been up all night sobbing in her room. Michael noted how despite it being horrible, it was lucky in the sense that Gloria didn't get to confess to manslaughter. Kevin was surprised when Michael told him that Will didn't want Gloria to confess after all.

Paul and Maggie paid Heather a visit. Heather noted that she's taking over the Jabot case. After, they stopped by to give Gloria their condolences. She finally emerged from her room to greet them, vowing to be strong. Later, Gloria went through sympathy cards and was surprised to see one from Jill. She noted how if she hadn't gone after Bardwell, Jill would be the one who was alone. Heather then stopped by and introduced herself. She regaled Glo with a funny story her colleagues shared about Will enjoying a karaoke night. Gloria's visitors left, though, when she began to feel dizzy. "I am a failure," she told her sons. They assured her that it's not her fault that John and Will died, but she believed she was the "kiss of death" for them. "William didn't deserve to die. It should've been me," she cried, adding that her kids are the only reason she has for living. Kevin took her in his arms and tried to comfort her. Gloria decided to make out her will. She later opened a letter regarding Will's uncle's estate — and learned that she's now worth $50 million.

Heather joined Maggie and Paul at the GCAC, and chatted about Will. When Heather stepped out to make a call, Maggie urged Paul to tell Heather that he's her father. Paul was hesitant about that; he was also concerned about Heather becoming involved in the Jabot case.

Katherine purchased Nikki's Jabot stock from her. Nikki hoped that she could fix her relationship with Victor, both professionally and personally. She also hoped Victor could learn to respect her as a business person. Meanwhile, at Newman, Victor instructed Karen to report to him directly regarding her work with Clear Springs. Vic believed that Jack would withdraw from the project, but Jack informed Karen that he's staying with it. Later, Victor sold NVP to a thrilled Nikki. They made plans to celebrate, but first, Nikki gloated to Jack about her purchase. He didn't bite, and instead boasted about the casino he's building in Clear Springs. Victor then told Jack that Nikki sold her Jabot shares to Kay. Newman called Jack out on secretly owning Jabot, but Jack gleefully told him that Kay is actually the owner of the company. Jack also pointed out that Nikki hadn't informed Victor of this.... Nikki thanked Ji Min for helping to turn Jabot around. After, she happily filled in David on the turn of events. David planned to leave town. Later, at Newman, Victor ordered Nikki into his office. She did not like being barked at. He did not like being betrayed, which is what he accused her of doing by keeping Kay's initial Jabot purchase secret. She became furious when she realized that he only sold her NVP as a means of going after Jack.

Victor questioned Kay about owning Jabot. She said that Ji Min sold it to her and urged Victor to help her keep the company free of scandal.... Nikki went to see David and begged him to stay in town. She asked him to help her run NVP. He wasn't so sure, but she insisted that she wasn't merely asking him to get back at Victor.... Jack warned Kay about Victor knowing she owns Jabot. She replied that Victor already spoke with her.... Victor confronted Ji Min about his dealings with Jabot and warned Kim to watch his back. Later, Victor encountered Nikki and David at Newman. Nikki stated that she's hired David. Victor told her to fire Chow, and that if she wants to stay married to him, she's either for or against him. Nikki reminded Vic that she's now the boss at NVP and walked off with David.

At Newman, Neil and Victor helped Karen get up to speed on her work. She prepared to take over the holiday marketing plan, which is what Drucilla had been working on. Neil criticized Karen's work on the plan, but Victor told Neil to let Karen do her job. Later, Neil apologized to Karen for snapping at her earlier and offered to buy her a drink. She happily accepted. At Indigo, she regaled Neil with horror stories about former bosses, including one who called her something she didn't like.

Nikki presented Victor with a contract to buy NVP. She was furious when he refused to sell it to her, especially when he explained that he had her best interests in mind. She disagreed, accusing him of always wanting to be in control of her. After, David came by to give her the final wrap-up on the election. Victor warned Chow that if he didn't leave, he'd have security throw him out. Later, Nikki paid a visit to David and apologized for Victor's behavior. David accepted and invited her in. Nikki wondered if he'd stay in town. He wasn't sure, especially since he received some business offers elsewhere. Nikki revealed that Karen works at Newman.

Amber and Kevin tried to avoid encountering Carson, the man who'd been asking about Plum. When Amber asked about Jana, he revealed that she has a brain tumor. Amber warned him not to start feeling sorry for his ex.... At Crimson Lights, Carson questioned Daniel about Plum, revealing that Plum saved his life when they were serving in Iraq together. Daniel lied that he hadn't seen him, then went to join Kevin and Amber. At Kevin's, the three freaked out, blaming each other for the situation. They then went online to find out more about Carson, but didn't succeed. Kevin flipped out when Amber revealed that Plum wasn't her "Cousin Garrett" and was in fact, her ex. They panicked when Carson knocked on the door and pretended to not be home. Amber swore that she didn't know Carson. Daniel was sure that he'd be back to question them.

As William continued to choke and wheeze, Michael called an ambulance. At the hospital, Gloria and Michael sat vigil by William. Gloria blamed herself for stressing out Will over the Jabot case and decided to turn herself in. She made Michael promise to take care of Will should she go to jail. Maggie came by to visit. With Will present, Gloria prepared to tell Maggie that she's guilty for tainting the Jabot moisturizer. Will interrupted them to hand Maggie a note saying, "My wife ... I love her." Glo was surprised and very touched. Maggie praised Gloria for helping William, while Michael just stood by looking baffled. The doctor then came in and discharged Will. "Take me home," Will wrote. Gloria was overjoyed that Will seemed to be recovering. Later, at home, Gloria gave Will some tea and looked forward to spending time alone with him. But first, she went into the kitchen to put away the mug. While she did, his eyes kind of bugged out, then closed; he then slumped over in his wheelchair. When Gloria returned, she realized something was wrong and began to shake him so he'd wake up. Knowing he was dead, she crawled into Will's chair with him and broke down crying.

At the loft, Victoria reveled over the idea of having a "normal" pregnancy. She and J.T. hoped that the child is his. Brad called and asked Victoria if he could speak with her in person. Abby overheard Brad's end of the conversation and was thrilled to learn that she'd be getting a new brother or sister. After, Brad went to J.T.'s and filled him and Victoria in on Adrian's investigation of Brad's family. They didn't want to be dragged into Carlton's drama, but Brad wanted Victoria to be careful when dealing with Korbel for the baby's sake. Surprisingly, J.T. agreed with him, but Vicky pointed out that if she avoids Adrian, it'll only make him become more suspicious. Brad then informed her that Abby knows about her pregnancy. As he spoke, Brad went through her files and found a pamphlet about amnios. She became angry when Brad accused her of getting one without consulting him first and demanded that he leave. When Brad noted in an ominous tone that he'd do anything to protect the baby, Vicky threatened to expose his past to everyone.... At home, a clueless Abby drew a picture of her family with Brad, Victoria and the baby.... J.T. gave Victoria cute booties for the baby.

Phyllis filled Nicholas in on the "Cassie's Challenge" benefit, explaining that he and Sharon had put the event together the year before. Noah and Sharon joined her and provided more details, including that it had been held at Crimson Lights. Nick suggested that they hold the event outside this year. Noah was thrilled. Sharon noted that she needed to check Jack's schedule. However, when Nick called to get a park permit, he deliberately picked a block of days when Jack wouldn't be able to attend. Later, when Phyllis pointed that out, Nick lied that those were the only dates available. Neil also noticed the "coincidence" with the dates and called Nick on wanting to spend time with Sharon. He reminded Nick that Nick already has a wife: Phyllis.

Lily confronted Daniel about his strip club activities. He insisted that all he did was buy a drink and "sit there." Lily didn't believe him and wanted all of the details. She freaked out when he admitted to saying "hi" to one of the strippers and turning down a lap dance. He insisted that he didn't do anything more, but she pointed out that he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute. Daniel explained that what really happened was he tried to talk the cop out of reporting him, and the cop became angry. Lily was furious about this, as well as the fact that he'd told Devon about his arrest before her. Later, Lily confided in Neil about her problems with Daniel. Neil advised her to leave her husband. Neil then lectured his son-in-law about his behavior. "You make me wonder what I did wrong as a father that Lily could be married to a man like you," Neil growled. Yikes. Daniel replied that he's not a bad person. Neil stated that even so, Daniel is a liar. Daniel later went home and was greeted by an angry Devon. The guys had it out. "You're a loser! You make me sick!" shouted Devon. "I don't know why you don't just disappear!" "You self-righteous bastard!" retorted Daniel. The fight ended with Devon punching Daniel and Lily breaking down in sobs.

Michael agreed to watch William while Gloria went away on a business trip with Lauren. As she packed, Will wrote her a note; Glo was surprised by how good her husband's handwriting was getting. She and Michael wondered what to do about this since Will would soon be able to write more clearly about Gloria's involvement in the Jabot moisturizer case. After, Michael spent the day giving Will a lengthy synopsis of Gloria's life. First he told him about Gloria's sorry history with abusive men. "I'm sorry," Will wrote. Michael continued his lengthy monologue, explaining how Gloria was attempting to help out John when she'd tainted the moisturizer. "I love Gloria," wrote Will. Michael expected that when he was able to write well enough, Bardwell would write something like, "I love Gloria, but I'm gonna have her arrested." He then recalled Kevin's problems with Terrible Tom. Will listened intently (really, did he have any choice?), but ended up writing "They're holding me prisoner." Michael began to flip out, punching and kicking things. His tirade ended, though, when Will began coughing and wheezing uncontrollably.

At the hospital, a restrained Jana continued to scream and shriek about Kevin having a ton of money. After she was wheeled away, Kevin and Colleen assured Maggie that Jana is out of her mind.

At Indigo, Amber met up with Daniel, who warned her that a man has been asking about Plum. She implored Daniel to make sure that Mystery Man and Cane never cross paths. Cane soon arrived. Amber invited herself to accompany him to Clear Springs, but he didn't think it was a good idea. Still, she kept hounding him and even got Lauren to cover her shift.... Mystery Man later approached Cane and asked if he's seen Plum. Cane's interest was piqued when the man mentioned that he's from Los Angeles. Amber then informed her husband that she got out of work, but Cane still didn't want her joining him in Clear Springs. He filled her in on the mystery man. Amber tried not to panic.

Daniel called Kevin and told him about Mystery Man. After, Michael continued to question Kevin about Jana's claim; Kevin swore he wasn't hiding something. Kevin finally gave in and 'fessed up about finding the suitcase full of cash. Michael warned him and Colleen that if Jana is found to be sane, the authorities might investigate her accusations against Kevin.

A dejected Adrian left another message on Colleen's answering machine, pleading with her to call him back. Meanwhile, Brad questioned Colleen about her involvement in Kevin's affairs. Needless to say, Carlton was less than thrilled that his daughter helped out the man who once tried to murder her. Korbel was unhappy about the situation, as well, especially since she kept another secret from him. She was shocked when he revealed that Brad's mother, Rebecca, is dead, and that the woman who's been claiming to be her, isn't. Colleen corrected that since her grandmother worked in an underground operation, she's been using an alias. Adrian accused her of not trusting him; she argued that she's entitled to keep some things private. He then called her immature. Ouch!

At Indigo, Devon berated Daniel about getting arrested at the strip club. The guys ended their conversation when Lily arrived. After, Daniel made an appointment with his therapist. Devon was suspicious about what Daniel had been doing, but Daniel told him the truth about his call.

At Indigo, Mystery Man asked Brad if he's seen Plum. Brad said he hasn't. Carlton then discussed business with Devon.... At his therapy session, Daniel filled in Dr. Farr on his latest activities. She encouraged him to tell Lily.... At Lily's home, Colleen confided in her pal about her fight with Adrian. Lily was surprised when Colleen mentioned that Amber and Daniel had been helping Kevin, as well, and was angry with Colleen for keeping this secret. After, Devon came home and asked what the problem was. "Me being the most naïve person ever," Lily sighed.

At the hospital, the doctor told Michael that Kevin was doing well enough to be released. Michael happily informed Kevin, but all Kevin cared about was proving that Jana was faking her convulsions. A frantic Amber then called him, warning him about the Mystery Man. Later, at the coffeehouse, she suggested to Daniel that they make it seem as if Plum were out of the country by having someone from Argentina mail them a postcard in Plum's name. However, Daniel was sick of being involved in her escapades. Amber didn't think he should come clean to Lily. Still, he later promised Devon that he would tell his wife the truth. Devon wondered what Daniel would do if Lily kicked him to the curb. "Then I have no one to blame but myself," said Daniel.

Kevin sat and brooded as as a montage highlighted scenes of his capture of Jana. Kevin admitted to Michael how conflicted he feels about almost killing someone he once loved. He feared that Terrible Tom saw something evil in him, but Michael assured him that Kevin had been a victim and isn't a bad person. Kevin believed that in her own way, Jana loved him. Later, Jana revealed that she has a brain tumor.

Adrian and Cane had drinks and commiserated about their women problems. They admitted that they didn't feel as if they really knew Colleen and Amber, respectively.... Colleen informed Brad that she's leaving town to visit Traci — and that Korbel is quickly uncovering the truth about Brad and his family. After, Brad offered to pay Adrian not to write his book. Adrian concluded that Brad is trafficking stolen art.

At Crimson Lights, Mystery Man asked Amber showed Amber his photo of Plum and asked if he looks familiar. She lied that he didn't.... Daniel returned home, all set to tell Lily about his arrest. Too late: the summons had already arrived in the mail and she'd opened it.
