The 411

Aiden Turner was born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, and grew up about 25 miles north of London. A love of cooking dinner and desserts led him to attend culinary school. After working as a chef for a couple of years, he taught himself how to mix music and became a nightclub DJ. After saving up, he traveled the world, going from London to Thailand, Malaysia and many other destinations. While living in Australia, he was approached to do some modeling, and pursued it in earnest after returning to London. Turner soon wanted more of a challenge, so he took acting classes. Many small television parts and commercials later, he landed the role of Aidan on ALL MY CHILDREN. The Emmy nominee now resides in New York City.

In 2009, AMC announced it would be moving its set to Los Angeles. Turner did not move with the show and left his role in December 2009.

Memorable Quotes

"I find women most attractive when they have a good personality and they can joke around, and if they're stylish and know how to dress for different occasions. The thing I find sexy is confidence. If she's got a personality and she's wearing great clothes, she's stylish and really confident, that is a great turn-on." — Soap Opera Weekly, 3/18/2003

"I was running around on the set — a bullet grazed Maria's head, so Aidan called for an ambulance, then ran back to pick her up. I was wearing shorts, and when I sat down, my twig and berries fell out in front of the whole crew. It was a great scene, so when they said we had to do it over again, I was like, 'Why? It was great.' They were like, 'Yeah, it was great, but you're showing yourself.' I had underpants on as well, but they just came out." — on his most embarrassing moment, Soap Opera Weekly, 3/18/2003
