Amelia Heinle has been fighting her way to the top since her first audition at LOVING. As an aspiring actress, the Arizona native worked at a coat check in Manhattan. On a lunch break, she caught a cab to a LOVING audition, but was thrown off when the cab brought her to the ONE LIFE TO LIVE set. She then had to run to LOVING in the rain and thought that she struck out because of her mussed appearance. Happily, she landed the role of Steffi Brewster.

Heinle's childhood gave her the confidence to break into acting. She is the oldest of five children and used to direct her siblings in backyard plays for their parents. At the age of 15, her parents moved the family from Arizona to New Jersey. She struggled with changing schools and leaving her friends behind, but in the end the move led her to the path she is on today.

After high school, Heinle visited Manhattan and spontaneously decided to walk in to a commercial agency. She was quickly signed after reading for an RC Cola ad. She was then referred to a modeling agency, which led to her moving to New York.

Landing the role of Steffi propelled her into acting. She and her character matured during her three-year run on LOVING and THE CITY. Starting as a college student, Steffi became a model, dealt with bulimia and shared a difficult relationship with her mother, Deborah.

It was on the set of LOVING that Heinle met her now-ex-husband Michael Weatherly (ex-Cooper). They were married for two years and have a son, August. Wanting to devote more time to her son, Heinle left soaps and focused on breaking into films. After a grueling shoot for the TV movie EARTH VS. THE SPIDER, she jetted over to Pine Valley as ALL MY CHILDREN's Mia.

Although Mia had ties to the canvas via half sister Liza (Marcy Walker), little was done with Mia. She exited in 2004 and this year was plucked to play the pivotal role of Victoria Newman on YOUNG AND RESTLESS.

ET CETERA

—On the set of LOVING, Heinle became close friends with the late Nancy Addison Altman (Deborah; ex-Jillian, RH et al), who portrayed her mother.
—Heinle played Jack in the pilot for JACK AND JILL, but was replaced by Amanda Peet.
—Digest named her one of the "Most Beautiful Women" in daytime.
