The 411
Born in Apple Valley, California, Chris Engen moved to Los Angeles while in junior high school. His interest in the performing arts led him to take guitar lessons at age 12.
Engen's acting career includes guest-starring appearances on a number of primetime shows. In 2000 he landed the recurring role of Finn on FELICITY. He went on to star in the series AS IF, and had a principal role in SAINTS & SINNERS.
In 2008 Engen made his daytime debut on YOUNG AND RESTLESS, portraying the grown son of Victor Newman and Hope Wilson, who moved to Genoa City following his mother’s death to accept a position at Newman Enterprises.
Easy Rider fans will be able to catch Engen in the legendary movie's prequel, Scarlett Cross, scheduled for release in 2009. It marks his first lead role in an independent film.
In 2009, Engen abruptly quit Y&R after his character took a villainous turn. He was replaced by Michael Muhney, who first aired on June 25, 2009.
