Born in Missouri and raised in Pleasantville, New York, Kyle Lowder has had a colorful and exciting life filled with lots of different activities and careers! In high school, Lowder was quarterback for the Pleasantville Panthers and a runner for All New York State track and field in the 800-meter event. Lowder is also a classically trained vocalist, having studied music performance and theory with famed Italian opera star Renato Mario Vellutino. Lowder pursued a BFA at Syracuse University but left to pursue an acting and modeling career. He has modeled for Abercrombie and Fitch and Speedo.
Lowder gained fame and critical acclaim for his Emmy-nominated role of the troubled Brady Black on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, a role he originated and played from 2000-2005. As half of the popular Brady/Chloe pairing (or "Broe"), Lowder also got to exercise his singing talents, sharing several duets with co-star, Nadia Bjorlin. While on the show, he married his co-star, Arianne Zucker. In 2007, Lowder took over the role of Rick Forrester on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Since then, Lowder has been in many major storylines on the show, working with stars such as Hunter Tylo (Taylor) and Ronn Moss (Ridge) — and he's even done a little more singing.

Memorable Quotes
"I want people to watch this and say a couple of things: No. 1, 'Kyle's doing a great job with this.' That would be fine (laughs)! But, also, No. 2., 'I love watching the character of Rick right now, even though I want to reach through the television and strangle him."

"My dad wanted to name me Buck. That only lasted about 10 seconds with my mother."
— Digest, 2/3/07
"I jumped in my car, drove through the lonely gate with this emotional, sappy '80s ballad playing on the radio and I was like, 'In one month I'm not going to be able to do this anymore."
— on leaving DAYS, Digest 9/13/05
"When I was dreaming of becoming an actor, I used to practice my autograph at school. The first time that it actually happened, it was very exciting for me. I gave it back to the person and they said, 'Thank you,' but I said, 'Thank you.'

"It's so cliche — you drop out of college to pursue a career in the entertainment business."
