Born in Nevada and raised in Arizona and California, Lauren Woodland joined THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in March 2000. A natural performer, the 5-feet-4 actress has been dancing since she was three. She began working in the entertainment business at the age of five. She made her stage debut at age eight singing a solo at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and made her first prime-time appearance on L.A. LAW at the age of nine. Woodland attended the University of Southern California where she majored in history and religion. She participated in a summer Shakespeare program a the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Y&R is Woodland's third daytime soap. She was the original Sara Cummings on SUNSET BEACH, and had a recurring role on PORT CHARLES as Janell. When not working, she enjoys traveling, going to the movies and spending time with her Maltese, Cheeky.
