MacKenzie Mauzy was born in Greensboro, N.C., but lived most of her life in Lancaster, Pa. (yes, Amish country). An accomplished singer and actress from a very young age, the vivacious Mauzy won the Anna Wentworth Award for the title role of Annie in a Roanoke, Va., production in 1998, and has starred in the plays A Christmas Carol and Macbeth. Mauzy made her television debut on GUIDING LIGHT in November of 2000, taking over for Hayden Panettiere (Claire, HEROES) as Lizzie. She played the role for two years, until a storyline-dictated decision turning Lizzie into a teen ousted her from the part.
Luckily, in 2006, Mauzy became a soap teen herself, as she scored a gig as one of Ridge and Taylor’s teenage daughters on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Mauzy’s turn as sweet Phoebe Forrester would give her a chance to show off her vocal talents, as well as her acting chops, since Phoebe went on a karaoke kick with fellow warbler Rick (Kyle Lowder), and became involved in a storyline with guest star — and former AMERICAN IDOL contestant — Constantine Maroulis.
In the summer of 2008, Mauzy dropped to recurring on B&B to take a role in the new Broadway production of A Tale of Two Cities, which the actress workshopped in its conception stage in New York in 2005.

Memorable Quotes
"It's not going to suddenly turn ultra-sexual and crazy. It's all fun for me, because I look like I'm 12, so I always play young characters. I think it's fun to start growing up with this character. Coming up, we will see a bit more liberty in what is shown in Phoebe's love life."—on how Mauzy turning 18 impacted her character, Soap Opera Weekly, 5/29/07
"It was baptism by fire. It was crazy, but after a month it felt like home."—on joining B&B mid-storyline, Soap Opera Digest, 7/13/07
