If you had your own gossip show, which current celebs would you report on?
“I have always been curious about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They seem to have really fascinating lives. When they were together, I always wanted to be a fly on the wall to see how their relationship worked, and I still want to know the real reason why they split up.”
Which is better decorated: your Toronto or L.A. residence?
“The Toronto house, because my husband and I put more effort and energy into it. We added a second story, so it was like I had a brand-new house. Whenever we go back to Toronto, we throw at least one party and invite a lot of people over to destroy the place.”
Who would win in a war of words: Hilary or Mishael?
“I would. There are times when people say something to her and she’ll feel blindsided, while I would just railroad over any of that.”
If you could relive any one day in your career, what would it be?
“When I first started on the show, I was so worried about knowing my lines that I didn’t get to enjoy the experience. I would like to go back and tell myself, ‘You’re going to have an awesome ride.’ ”
What’s your best mom quality?
“I use my acting to make boring things seem exciting. My son [Niam] will be going to pre-school, and every time he hears the word ‘school’, he gets really excited and starts clapping his hands. That’s because I’ve been talking about school for the last couple of weeks like it’s the most fun place on earth.”
