On November 14, Wes Ramsey (ex-Sam, GUIDING LIGHT; ex-Owen, DAYS) will make his GH debut in the new role of Peter August. The actor traces his casting back to a friendly run-in with Executive Producer Frank Valentini. “I had taken Laura [Wright, Carly, his girlfriend] to work one day [and] Frank walked by,” he relays. They had met back in 2009, when Ramsey screen-tested for ONE LIFE TO LIVE when Valentini was its show runner. “It was really sort of a wonderful coincidence when we crossed paths and got to catch up and talk, and I guess a seed was planted in the back of our minds [and] sure enough, three or four months later, there was an opportunity to come in and audition.” Check out the new issue of Soap Opera Digest for more with Ramsey.
